Contacts

  • BieberSucks
Had contacts for about 20 years, finally got LASIK last November and it was the best thing I ever did. Contacts were fine until about three years ago, just started bothering me to no end. You do want to take them out after the first day, your eyes are adjusting to them and will take some time.

Been wearing soft contacts for 20 years. From day 1, I've NEVER had discomfort. Some people don't tolerate them well, and have to do glasses. Some people also have to do hard contacts for various reasons.

Also, as mentioned, if you put them in "backwards", or inside out, they will be uncomfortable and may even try to pop out of your eye.

I know they say it's ok, but I just don't see how it can be healthy. Plus, they dry out like a bitch when you sleep, even with the overnight kind. My eyes just feel tired when I leave them in overnight.

I wear contacts out; glasses when I'm just hanging around the house. EZ.

Really? Strange because a few years ago, I had to go a few days without wearing mine because keeping them in all the time was irritating the little tiny blood vessels on the eyes. The doctor told me that was because I was because I was wearing them all the time and basically preventing the free flow of oxygen to my eyes or something like that. And since then, I take them out at night almost every night (sometimes at parties where I'm spending the night, it's not feasible to do so).

As for Ernest, it might be a getting-used-to-new-stuff thing. When I first went to contacts, my doctor advised me to gradually get used to them with wearing them for 6 or so hours for a while and then moving up to 8 and so on, as my eyes got used to them.

Interestingly enough, someone also has reported one of your posts directed towards Karen.

Personally, I just find it funny when someone who has no problems with regularly attacking a poster they don't like immediately turns around and starts reporting when the same thing happens to them, but to each their own, I guess.

Had to get glasses about two years ago when I realized I couldn't see anything. Part of me wants to get contacts because there are times I want to take my glasses off but the idea of putting shit in my eyes freaks me out.
