Any home improvement projects planned for this year?

  • Benny The Jet
    I bought a house through sheriff's sale this time last year. Had a lot of remodeling done on the inside last year, and coming up it's time for the outside. The wood fence I have all around the backyard was leaning pretty bad away from the yard. I'm trying to figure out my best plan of attack so that I hopefully don't have to take down each the whole side. I'm hoping I can do it 1 section at a time. Waiting for warm weekend with no ballgames to get after it.

    Does it take you like 10 minutes to mow?
    Like.

    I haven't marked the front yard but I will have a 2x4 bed and either a 4x6 or a 4x8 bed so I'll have somewhere between 32-40sf in the front yard.
    PM you

    Must be nice. Do you have a zero-turn mower?

    Justin... how much stuff do you think you'll be able to plant in such a small plot?

    Tons.

    Just an example. Each square is 1 sq ft. I'll have between 76-84 sq ft to work with just between the front and back yard. I might also put some planters up on the roof.

    More and 2 different types of Tomatoes …. better for canning if you have a mix of tomotes
    </SPAN>
    Stager planting and separate some of your planting &#8230; beans, lettuces, zucchini, cumbers and peppers </SPAN>
    If you plant that many at one time you&#8217;ll have too much coming up to eat &#8230;. 2 or 3 weeks separation between planting. </SPAN>

    I like to plant for example beans: my first planting at one end and then on the other end of the garden plant my second planting of beans &#8230; </SPAN>

    It seems that I may be moving to Kansas...

    I can buy a house, no downpayment, and pay $475 a month as payments. Not too shabby. I imagine we'll have some home improvements to it if this happens.

    Holy shit, dude. Nothing down and $475/month mortgage? What type of place are you buying? That seems insanely cheap.
