Self-Checkout Line

  • dlazz
Is it me, or is there always some stupid asshole at the checkout line who has more than 12 items?

In my case about ten minutes ago, there were FOUR stupid assholes (all women, obviously -- because of their weak little brains) using the self-checkout line.

I had to wait several minutes while some idiot scanned her bananas and Bud Light Lime. This impeded my progress of getting home to the OC so I could bless you all with my knowledge bombs.

What the fuck gives? Am I the only person who rages at things like this?

Why is your thread titled "Self-Checkout Line" when you are complaining about the "12 Items or Less Checkout Line"?

Because most self-checkout lines have a 12 item limit.

I just want to know what dlazz picked up at the store.

Interesting. Not at Walmart, Sam's Club, Meijer, Kroger.

Interesting, because I just did it at Meijer.

Giant Eagle, Kroger and the Wal-Mart near me all have 12-item limits on the end checkouts.

Cat food, a bottle of Coke, and a new wallet.

I dont use Self Check out due to the prevalence of stolen credit card info from them.

I didn't want to stand in line for 30 minutes for three items.

I know the Kroger where I shop has a 12 limit for self-checkout.

If a person goes to the self-checkout line with more than 12 items, I generally don't care unless their cart is filled to the brim.

Giant Eagle near me has about a max of 3 registers open at any given time. I'm going to use the self-checkout (which I have never seen a limit for items) instead of wait 15 minutes in the long ass line.

The problem I had with it was that there was nobody at the checkout line when I walked into the store. I grabbed my two items (grabbed the Coke while I waited on the idiots) and by the time I had returned the line was 6 people deep because those morons were scanning their stuff.

My local grocery store's self checkout line has no limit.

I avoid stores that do not have a self checkout option.

    Hope this helps.

Interesting that chain stores have different policies in different locals on self vs limit.

Self checkout lines are for poor people...

Actually I hardly ever use them. The Wife will on occasions.

Chicago probably doesn't even have stores. Just big buildings and Ferris Bueller.

I buy my groceries from gang members on street corners. Helps to have my cane sword for extra bargaining power.

Also, protip: Latin Kings provide an excellent produce selection, but for your deli meats go to the Gangster Disciples.

    I trade drugs for steaks.

I thought that express lanes (12 items or less) and self scans were separate. The most irritating thing about this is when people take a lot of produce to the self scans and it takes them forever to look it all up.

The supermarkets in my hometown and college town don't have limits on self checkout.

The self checkout at Kroger sets me on edge. It's like a game you can't win as you have to have your kroger card (stupid)....any coupons?.....and you scan it and it immediately tells you to place item in baggage area (gimme a second will ya).....5 items in and I'm nearing in on a seizure.

I use the WalMart one pretty often but it always has trouble scanning my debit card.....light speed or nothing.

Never use self-check out - I want those drones to earn their 7.70 / hr.
