Daft Punk

AutomatikCheaper than bands? Not by much. Big names charge a ridiculous amount for a few hour gig.
Tomorrowland would be amazing and crazy expensive. I have friends planning to go to TomorrowWorld in ATL this September, I won't be able to make it happen though.
I'm late to the festival game, I should have been at this years ago. Ibiza is my next big target. -
namod65I read about the costs in a Forbes article a while back. I'll see if I can find it. And yes Tomorrowland would be breaking the bank for me haha. Got a couple of friends that want to go, but we're all just out of college and don't have a couple grand to spend on something like that yet.
But yeah glad I'm doing the festivals now while I'm still young lol. Heading down to Athens next weekend to see Steve Aoki at 11fest. Tickets were only $30 for the whole festival which would be a great deal just for Aoki alone. -
AutomatikMy friend ran a club in Denmark for a few years. I spent some time over there working for him. I used to have a price list in my email from a booking agency based out of Germany. I can't find it now. The charges were jaw dropping.
Here's a tip for Tomorrowland. I've heard it's very hard to get tickets, but Belgian citizens are privy to a presale. So maybe try to connect with someone over there to help you out beforehand. Maybe craigslist? Would be worth a try.
Again, I'd highly suggest Ezoo Labor Day weekend, because you have the festival close to the city and then numerous after parties after (which I made it to none). I hope to change that this time around lol
Not surprised Aoki is in Athens, that's pretty badass. That dude is a workaholic. His Instagram is insane. -
namod65Ah here's the article I read:

Yeah I heard the Tomorrowland tix sell out within hours and that Beligians get like %50 of them. Definitely would have to try something like that. -
AutomatikFinal ASOT600 show being broadcast right now live from Den Bosch, Netherlands. Thought I'd share.

I'm socially claustrophobic so I'd probably have an anxiety attack being surrounded like that. For Daft Punk though, I would have to make an exception lol.Automatik;1418710 wrote:Ultra was a great experience, but it came down to just being too crowded. I'll definitely be going to Winter Music Conference again. The pool/beach parties and clubs are where its at. I crossed off so many DJs I wanted to see in just a few days...it was unreal. If you're into EDM I highly suggest checking it out. I'm kicking myself for not going years ago.
When SHM came on for their last show it was the biggest clusterfuck I'd ever seen..lol. I bounced to see Paul Van Dyk. It would be total chaos if DP played there.
I just saw the "schedule" for their upcoming tour. I'm still not buying it until a I see an official release.
Also, if you want to check a real quality festival...check out Electric Zoo in NYC. Awesome time. -
AutomatikFans of legit techno?
Check the Drumcode podcast. So fucking good.
I can't remember who it was, but I posted a mix and people were referring to it as "techno" and we had a convo about how most people incorrectly refer to all electronic music as techno. I've been into it somewhat, listened occasionally, but was never a huge fan......until now.
I went to the Drumcode label party in Miami, saw all their heavy hitters spin...amazing. Changed my life lol. Adam Beyer is a fucking boss. I'd say its an "acquired taste", but live at a place with a great sound system and it was badass. I'm hooked. -
AutomatikAvicii's manager starting a new label. A friend of mine is the first to sign. Very awesome.

This song will be played for years to come. Bank on it.
Edit: I believe it's a fake, just some loops put together. -
Mohican00So this leaked. I have a link to DL the album @ 192 kbps, mp3......unless you're one of those FLAC elitists (then gfy)
-
Automatik320 or I don't want it.
I've heard mixed reviews so far. I'll get around to listening in the next few days. -
End of LineIf you're expecting your typical EDM album this isn't for you. I posted this on another forum. Thoughts on it.

AutomatikI thought it was 'mehhh' after first listen, but the album has grown on me.
It's nothing earth shattering, but very solid. Doin' It Right is the jam. -
GOONx19I like most of it. Doin' It Right, Beyond, and both Pharrell songs are my favorites.
-
End of LineMotherboard, Get Lucky, Giorgio by Morodor, Contact, and Beyond are fucking awesome. Bought it today.
-
AutomatikSpeaking of Giorgio Moroder, that old man just DJ'd at a newer club here in Brooklyn. I wish I could have gone, but a thing called work got in the way.
-
End of LineI'm in love with Doin It Right. Fucking amazing song.

namod65Attended EDC Chicago last Saturday. It was one hell of a time. Artists I saw: EDX, Hard Rock Sofa, W&W, Hardwell, Avicii, and Armin Van Buuren. Hardwell and Avicii back to back on the main stage was epic. I don't think I'll ever be able to top that.
-
AutomatikBig fan of EDX.
How was W&W? I missed them in Miami, but hoping to catch them during Electric Zoo. -
namod65W&W were sick as shit. I knew a couple of their songs before hand and liked them, but I was really surprised how big they were. Their remix of Armin Van Buuren's "This is What it Feels Like" was probably the most popular song of the day. I heard it quite a few times on other stages. They played at 9:30pm, right before Hardwell and Avicii; and the massive firework display was during their set which made it even better.
