Cincinnati Weekend
-
adogQuick question.....Wife and I's anniversary this coming weekend and I was thinking about booking a room at the Cincinnati Radisson Riverfront. It was years ago that I stayed there (cannot remember what it was called then but do not think it was Radisson) so not sure if a good choice or not. Anyone stay there recently and can give me a review or other recommendation in that area?

Ironman92You could stay at one of the Casino hotels.....usually a real good time.

Curly JThe Wife and I usually stay at the Omni Hilton in downtown foe concerts or events. Gorgeous Old Art Deco. I had my Senior Prom the in the Hall of Mirrors room.

said_aouitaObviously you really don't love your wife if celebrating your anniversary in downtown Cincinnati.
Still it's probably better than Cleveland. -

If the skyline view is your goal, stay down the street at the Marriott at the NKY convention center. The Radisson is pretty old and dumpy IMO.adog;1399451 wrote:Quick question.....Wife and I's anniversary this coming weekend and I was thinking about booking a room at the Cincinnati Radisson Riverfront. said_aouitaTo add more opinions- You should go a little farther West like into Brown County, Indiana and find a nice bed and breakfast. Downtown cinci is a dump.

Just quoting these so Said can't edit or delete them when he realizes that Justin only bans trolls that are trolling topics he enjoys. Downtown Cincinnati is one of those.said_aouita;1399572 wrote:To add more opinions- You should go a little farther West like into Brown County, Indiana and find a nice bed and breakfast. Lets see if trolling will actually be punished, or continued to only be monitored when the mods feel like it (aka, when they don't like the poster) -

I'm not going to punish someone for saying downtown Cincinnati is a dump. I'll just tell them they are wrong and move on.SportsAndLady;1399577 wrote:Just quoting these so Said can't edit or delete them when he realizes that Justin only bans trolls that are trolling topics he enjoys. Despite having a set of rules for the site, Justin just makes up rules as he goes. For instance, apparently etb is allowed to post personal information about me, because I have a history of being mean to him .SportsAndLady;1399577 wrote:Just quoting these so Said can't edit or delete them when he realizes that Justin only bans trolls that are trolling topics he enjoys. Last response as I don't want to completely ruin this thread. Your opinion would carry more value if you weren't someone that spends a lot of time pushing the bounds of the rules. My view at this point is that I'm never going to win. I will never make anyone happy. People are always going to complain. I'm just going to continue running the site as I see fit until I no longer enjoy it. I use the rules as a general guideline and hand out "punishment" as I see fit (which is rarely). It's basically the same way I've been doing things since the site started.like_that;1399603 wrote:I forgot to add, that you will get these type of responses when you are trying to help improve the site with constructive critcism.

So you haven't been here since The Banks has taken off?said_aouita;1399605 wrote:Just trolling with some humor. It's been a few years. Point is, I think theirs many better options.
Enjoy downtown.
The riverfront will look like this by 2015 for the All-Star game. It's about halfway there already.
OTR is also really taking off with a ton of great bars and restaurants. Also, the casino opens tonight. -

True. I've not been down there since all of this opened up. Would you consider The Banks area within walking distance of the nicer, older downtown hotels? Weather may not be too bad this weekend.justincredible;1399614 wrote:So you haven't been here since The Banks has taken off?

Yeah, easily within walking distance from, say, The Hilton Netherland Plaza. Maybe 4 or 5 blocks.said_aouita;1399618 wrote:True. I've not been down there since all of this opened up. Maybe walking it in the early evening during summer when the sun is still out. When completely dark and freezing, 4 or 5 blocks in downtown cinci sounds crappy.justincredible;1399620 wrote:Maybe 4 or 5 blocks. -

And besides, you'll probably get mugged because it's ridiculously dangerous in Cincinnati.said_aouita;1399623 wrote:Maybe walking it in the early evening during summer when the sun is still out. When completely dark and freezing, 4 or 5 blocks in downtown cinci sounds crappy. -

OP asks for ideas for Cincinnati...Said says to go to Kentucky or Indiana as Cincinnati is a dump.
Yeah that's in no way trolling, and is adding tons to the thread.
Keep up the great work!
