House of Cards: Netflix original series
-
imex99Just started watching, really good so far... I'm on episode 2.
-
imex99Anyone else watching, I'm on episode 6 now.
-
RotinajI've watched the first 5 or so. Pretty good. Is there going to be another season or is it just a 1 season series?
-
Fab4RunnerI plan to watch as soon as I am caught up on my regular shows. I have heard great things.

Scarlet_BuckeyeHaven't heard of it. What's it about? I suppose I can just Google it.
House of Cards is an American political drama series developed and produced by Beau Willimon. It is an adaptation of a previous BBC miniseries of the same name which is based on the novel by Michael Dobbs. The entire first season premiered on February 1, 2013 on the streaming service Netflix.[SUP][1][/SUP] A second season of 13 episodes is currently in production.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP]
Set in present day Washington, D.C., House of Cards is the story of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), a Democrat from South Carolina's 5th congressional district and the House Majority Whip, who, after getting passed over for promotion to Secretary of State, decides to exact his revenge on those who betrayed him. The series also stars Robin Wright, Kate Mara and Corey Stoll in lead roles.
Hmmm... not much of an explanation there. I do enjoy Kevin Spacey, however.
The show I'd REALLY like to get into and start watching next is FX's The Americans. The commercials look pretty good and I've heard great things (even PTI's Tony Kornheiser gave it a shout-out). -
hoops23I'm 3 episodes in and LOVE it. Kevin Spacey is awesome in it. I love how they released the entire season at once and not in weekly increments. I wouldn't be upset one bit if this is the future of television. The production values are very good.
The Americans is solid. I missed the last episode and it didn't bother me too much, but the couple I have were pretty good. It hasn't "hooked" me though...
Now Justified, Mad Men, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad are all cable series I don't miss. -

Mad Men is excellent. I watch it on NetFlix, but Idk why... I'll only go like 5 episodes and then stop watching for a couple weeks or so. I'm only on like Season 2 or 3, I believe.hoops23;1393644 wrote:I'm 3 episodes in and LOVE it. Kevin Spacey is awesome in it. Laley23Ive heard of this show, but just realized it is only Netflix. What is it about? Set in DC, so I assume political in some nature? Im intrigued and about to re-open my Netflix account to give it a look since you all seem to like it, but want a breif overview of what the plot/content actually is.

like_thatJust finished the final episode. Looking forward to season 2 being dropped.
[SP]I think I might have missed something, but why can't Frank just threaten to show Zoey's nude photo he took of her? That would probably prevent her from being a threat.[/SP]
