Plantar Fascitis

  • vdubb96
Was playing bball last night and went up "STRONG" :) for a layup and felt a pop on the bottom of my foot. I got a real "hot" sensation on my foot. I iced it all night and I can't walk this morning at all. This sucks. The only thing I can think of is I pulled or strained my plantar fascia. Has anyone ever had plantar fascitis before? What did you do? This freakin sucks!!!!!

I did the same thing playing basketball and battled it for a few years.. It ended up being a fractured sesamoid

This is right in front of my heel. I can't flex my foot at all. May just cut it off. Seems like the most logical thing to do at this point!

I think you've diagnosed it correctly. It takes forever to heal.

Have been dealing with an ongoing battle with it for some time. Only time my feet feel "right" is when I'm wearing my Vibrams.

I just want to be able to freakin' walk. I can take a break from bball and my workouts but I just want to be able to function!!! :)

He's right about it taking "forever to heal." It's been well over a year, maybe two, with me.

It took me about 1.5 months to heal mine. You really have to just lay up for a couple days to have any real shot at healing it quicker.

I've had plantar facitis-but never felt a "pop". Everybody is correct that it takes forever to heal though.

Currently taking. However I may "hop" across the street and grab some cheap liquor at the gas station to help out.

I think it takes forever to heal.

The pop indicates you may have torn your plantar fascia a la pau gasol. I'd see a doc if you are unable to walk. Also could be really badly inflamed which as mentioned, is a nightmare to rehabilitate.

From what I hear, it takes a while to heel.
  • jcrazynephew
I've been told that it takes a while to heal.

Might want to see a doctor. Heard it takes some time to heal.

You guys are the best!!!! :0

I checked WebMD. You've either torn the Plantar Fascia or you have foot cancer.
  • vdubb96
Oh god I hope it's not foot cancer, thats the worst!

I just got off the phone with my doctor. He said it could be foot AIDS.

Yeah, I'd get that checked. As has been mentioned, that "pop" can't be good. Never heard a pop when I messed mine up.
