And why wouldn't we say that in person? It's because these people think violence is the answer to all their problems and that's why they are animals.rmolin73;1380589 wrote:Those that make racist comments like "animals" or "apes" are the same cowards that wouldn't say a peep in person. Dude you would just start handing out $100 bills. Clarify the "these people", comment? Do you mean all ignorant people or just the people in the video?sleeper;1381100 wrote:And why wouldn't we say that in person? Should the goverment banned them from entitlements? To protect citizen and for the protection of children?Fly4Fun;1380541 wrote:Please, if you were really talking about Nigerians... they're called Nigerians, not "Nigers."
This, which is why I said that people are idiots. There are idiots like this in every demographic. -
Gblockim surprised that people are surprised...it has only been like 50 years since blacks were allowed to go to school. thats one generation. you still have pockets of people in this country who have never had access to education and are caught in a terrible cycle. this woman likely doesnt know any better and was raised by someone likely less educated than her.
but as far as stereotypes go..there are plenty of caucasians in wva, kentucky etc that are in a similar cycle and suffer from the same lack of education and access.
I do think its getting better tho, one family at a time. it just needs more time -
Con_AlmaGblock ....very good post ...except for your comment that 50 years equals one generation.

well i guess in some of these families you get grandmothers who are 40 years old so the generation thing doesnt work very well but even in several generations if you only are taught what the generation before you has learned you dont get far. Just this year i have seen MANY parents come in who cant read or use a computer. I have also seen 8-10 kids drop out as 9th or 10 graders. very sadCon_Alma;1381229 wrote:Gblock ....very good post ...except for your comment that 50 years equals one generation. -
Con_AlmaWow. I didn't realise even today that many kids were dropping out of school still. Sad indeed.

50 years is plenty of time for a generation in black people years. They usually shoot at one another and rarely live past 30. /sleeper'dCon_Alma;1381229 wrote:Gblock ....very good post ...except for your comment that 50 years equals one generation. -
Gblocki think for a while it was getting better..but it seems like last year and this year have been rough..when i started working here the grad rate was only 53 percent or so in 97...i think last year it was 82% or so. but places like milwakee, chicago are still 45-55 percent grad rate. there are also lots of kids that do homeschool online through like ECOT that either drop out or somehow get a degree by doing a few hours a day on the cpu

Gblock
Its actually sad because they go all out for the 8th grade "graduation" limos and tuxes and everything because lots of times either from getting killed or dropping out, its the only chance they get to do it.dlazz;1381239 wrote:50 years is plenty of time for a generation in black people years. Graduation rates are a terrible benchmark. You can more or less show up to school and graduate. Standards have fallen.Gblock;1381241 wrote:i think for a while it was getting better..but it seems like last year and this year have been rough..when i started working here the grad rate was only 53 percent or so in 97...i think last year it was 82% or so. but places like milwakee, chicago are still 45-55 percent grad rate. there are also lots of kids that do homeschool online through like ECOT that either drop out or somehow get a degree by doing a few hours a day on the cpu -

Its not going to get beeter just worst ... With Obama in office the Black unemployment will increase (as been proven) and problems providing for families will increase also (proven again) but many voted color over prosperity and everyone suffers.Gblock;1381227 wrote:im surprised that people are surprised...it has only been like 50 years since blacks were allowed to go to school. thats one generation. you still have pockets of people in this country who have never had access to education and are caught in a terrible cycle. this woman likely doesnt know any better and was raised by someone likely less educated than her.

You should run in your class of the 1964 Malcolm X address to the NAACP …”YOU CHUMP” -

If you eliminate the class transitions and the entire social aspect of school, how much time are you actually being educated a day? I'd say about a few hours. That's what online education does. It takes away the social part of it.Gblock;1381241 wrote: there are also lots of kids that do homeschool online through like ECOT that either drop out or somehow get a degree by doing a few hours a day on the cpu
Standards have fallen. The blame lies with the teachers, but also with the parents/students for being huge pussies.dlazz;1381246 wrote:Graduation rates are a terrible benchmark. You can more or less show up to school and graduate. Standards have fallen. -

i get the purpose but i guess if you knew some of these students and what they get done while someone is watching and hounding them, i have serious concerns about what they actually get done and the level of the work they would be able to do on their ownhasbeen;1381288 wrote:If you eliminate the class transitions and the entire social aspect of school, how much time are you actually being educated a day? I'm with you. There had to be another option because many of these students weren't going to survive in a traditional setting. Become dropouts and be in and out of jail.Gblock;1381312 wrote:i get the purpose but i guess if you knew some of these students and what they get done while someone is watching and hounding them, i have serious concerns about what they actually get done and the level of the work they would be able to do on their own
Also, it's an opportunity for Administrators to improve the numbers and look good. Whether the reality matches or not. -
TedShecklerI found a 3rd video. Don't think this ends well for the guard.
