sportchamppsGrand Cayman is awesome but can be super expensive. We stayed there a week about 5 years ago and for like 5 subs and some Doritos are lunch bill was like $250. We went back on a cruise about 2 years ago and had a great time. If you Scuba Dive it's a great place.
My favorite places I have been are Punta Mita, Mexico New Orleans, Vegas, and our Cruise.
Punta Mita was awesome because we stayed in a great hotel the town itself Had some of the beat seafood I have ever had. Golfing was awesome (had a whole where the green was on a small island that you could only play during low tide). About 20 minutes away was a small hippy tourist town that was fun to visit and about 45 minutes away was Puerta vallarta -

We stayed in a hotel in Jackson that was log cabin-esque. I went with my family and my dad made the arrangements, so I don't remember what hotel, but it was a pretty cool little place. Jackson is about a half hour drive from the park if I remember correctly. There are a few hotels in the park (pretty awesome one at Old Faithful), but since space is very limited and since the park really only has a three month season, I would assume that you need to book well in advance. Also remember that the park is in the mountains so it's pretty chilly. We were there in late June and it was in the 60's both days.Laley23;1379288 wrote:Did you stay in a hotel or cabin? And any recommendations for lodges/cabins? I am looking to get out to Yellowstone, but wanted some firsthand recommendations. Id prefer in the park but not tied to it.
We spent two days in Yellowstone (the road through the park is divided into an upper loop and a lower loop (about 60 miles each, I think), so we spent a day doing each loop. We then spent a day in Grand Teton National Park, just south of Yellowstone. This is the absolute minimum amount of time I would spend. Really wish we had more time to spend in the park. -

On a side note, I think it'd be pretty sweet to hang out in the city hosting the Superbowl the week before. I follow a lot of the sports media on Twitter and they're all constantly posting about how fun New Orleans has been this week.
To get their experience you would have to go the week of. The week before would be setting up and the week after cleaning up.
Although bourbon street is fun period. -

Played Arrowhead Monday, Prestwick on Tuesday, Pine Lakes today and TPC tomorrow. It was a little chilly on Monday (low to mid-50's), but at or near 70 yesterday and today. Actually got a bit of a sunburn.se-alum;1379100 wrote:I'll be there Feb. 16-20th for some golf! -
