Would you kill me??

Well, you know, too big of a step up for one person to handle at once. Kind of like if one day, you were partying with regular college cheap stuff. And the next day, you spent all day smoking with Snoop and Willie Nelson. You might not live. It would be the most glorious death ever, but I'd prefer to gradually build my way up to the elite-good stuff.justincredible;1376940 wrote:Weed that's...too good?
Anyway, what was this thread about? Whatevs, it's about toking now. The OP would approve. -

You raise a good point. Especially since my supply is about out and I at least haven't heard back yet from "my people".like_that;1376984 wrote:FIFY

Fly4FunI don't believe in a god for a multitude of reasons. However, the one thing I thought interesting was that the question presumes that humans have an internal moral code where it is possible that morality is entirely society based (like most things, it is most likely a combination of the two).
Also, I find it amusing that fathobbit admits that he would kill someone if commanded to by a pillar of fire (an example of something that would convince him). Some suffering from psychosis, such as schizophrenia, can easily have hallucinations (generally auditory) but other forms as well including visual. So he is saying that it is justified for someone suffering from a psychotic break to kill someone?
I agree that someone suffering from such mental disorders needs mental help (more than just being stuffed in a prison). But I don't think I could in my right mind actually condone that kind of behavior. -

I do not believe in god either, but I am open to the possibility that a god exists. I never said I would be convinced by a pillar of fire, only that I would be more likely to believe something visual than random voices in my head. Obviously if I had a mental condition that leaves me open to mistakenly killing DA.Fly4Fun;1376995 wrote:Also, I find it amusing that fathobbit admits that he would kill someone if commanded to by a pillar of fire (an example of something that would convince him).
If I had a mental condition and killed DA at a hallucinations request it would not be justified, but I would be crazy so I probably wouldn't care.Fly4Fun;1376995 wrote:Some suffering from psychosis, such as schizophrenia, can easily have hallucinations (generally auditory) but other forms as well including visual. I'm open to the possibility as well. I just currently have yet to see, hear or read anything that would make me think so and I doubt I will. Now if I die and end up in some kind of afterlife, then I'd probably start to reconsider my current stance.FatHobbit;1377001 wrote:I do not believe in god either, but I am open to the possibility that a god exists. How are you not saying it would be justified? You're saying that you would do it because it was obviously alright since God commanded you. That is a justification right there.FatHobbit;1377001 wrote:If I had a mental condition and killed DA at a hallucinations request it would not be justified, but I would be crazy so I probably wouldn't care. -

I guess I'm saying if I'm crazy, it's not justified. If God really is talking to me, it would be justified. lolFly4Fun;1377003 wrote:How are you not saying it would be justified? And in that difference is the entire point of the question. It is infinitely more likely that a person receiving a message from God is either a liar or suffering from some kind of psychosis.FatHobbit;1377035 wrote:I guess I'm saying if I'm crazy, it's not justified. Well, virtually all of them, other than NON-Dispensational.
Nah. I'm pretty sure nobody wants to read that from me. I'm sure I've made myself clear enough in the past that it isn't necessary.Devils Advocate;1377148 wrote:Awwwwww.... Cmon Oman, I would have expected at least a mini essay form you on this. -
AppleWhy would God ask someone to kill someone else? He's GOD. He can do anything Himself!
