So are you saying you eat little kids for breakfast?

this is a given with a Hyundai and a cat.

Only children are weird. Have two.

I have none. Would like to have three or four (really hoping for four as long as I/we could afford them).

    That is probably accurate, too.

You're welcome :) My mom is an only child, so I do have a basis for my statement. Also, she hated not having silblings. Wound up with five children of her own and two stepsons haha.

Interesting. My father was one of ten. Of the nine that lived to adulthood, the oldest seven each had exactly one child.

Are the seven only kids really weird?

Most of them are perfectly normal and highly accomplished. I'm the outlier.

lol. I was an only child. If I had a nickel for every time someone has used me as the cornerstone of an "only children are weird" argument...I'd at least be able to pay someone to take out the first person who did so!

    Only children are less dependent.

If we are going with generalizations I think they don't play as well with others either.

This could be true - but depends on up bringing. I had lots friends in my neighborhood so we all got along, but I could also entertain myself. My wife is one of four and can't be by herself for my than 5 minutes without getting bored.

In general, there's probably a decent amount of truth to that. I've run into people who can barely stand to be alone for five minutes, something I can't identify with at all. I don't get a ton of "just me" time, but I need the little bit I do get.

Off topic, what was our bet for Nash's points for this season? Want to adjust it proportionally?

I was raised by an only child who taught me to be as independent as she was/is. I started making my own doctor appointments in fifth grade. Not a huge accomplishment, obviously, but I had friends who couldn't/wouldn't all the way into HS.

Also, I love having a huge, crazy family, but I relish my alone time. I love to read, write, watch TV or just hang out by myself.

originally thought 9 would be good(enough for a baseball team), but have 3 girls (32,30,29), 1 boy (25)

my screen name denotes the years they were high school varsity athletes

    5 grandchildren (4 boys, oldest a girl)
