Inside voice seeks out

  Many times as I’m listening to someone talk, in my head that “inside voice” is ready to just scream. I hold back, waiting for a better opportunity to just put this individual in place and call them out for what they are saying. Sometime an individual action will trigger this “inside voice” rage but again we hold what we are really thinking.
  However that “inside voice’ comes out surprise, surprise, surprise, behold an awkward moment has arrived.
  
  Example: Last week the wife and ran into some friend in Berlin. They where with another couple, who we knew but really never associated with. We all decide to go to dinner. Dinner was ok and the waitress was busy, she was trying to do a good job but had her hands full with additional tables. When it came time to pay the bill and leave a tip the other guy paid his bill with a credit card but did not add a tip. So I watched, thinking he would put down some cash NO didn’t happen. Maybe the service was not the best but it was not all her fault, 15% is still required in my book unless it was really piss poor. I gave 20% because she was trying and when possible she was very pleasant and helpful.
  
  I was pissed an my “inside voice” was ready to jump all over this guy, but I held back.
  When we where ready to go our own way the guy said, Hey! We should all do this again.
  The “ inside voice” then came out….”No tip, not happening”
  I know I'm an ass ... but the wife knew what had happen and she still love me
  
  Has your “ Inside voice” ever come out ?

  My "inside voice" comes out all the time, because I often speak what's on my mind and rarely hold it back.

  I have no problem stiffing a shitty server but if she has too many tables I will take into account how hard she tries. (I did know of someo waitresses who will take extra tables to make more money and then give shitty service because they couldn't handle it so I guess I would have had to have been there to decide if I would have left a tip.)

  In your scenario, I would have tipped. Being busy doesn't necessarily equate to shitty service. If she can't get you stuff in a timely manner just because she's too busy, that's managements fault, not hers.

  I have a friend who i refuse to dine with for just this reason...her and her bf always find something to complain about and a reason not to tip...
