Best moment of your life

mcburg93Outside of marriage or having a kid what is the one thing you are most proud of or had the most fun doing?
I went and got my cdl and drove a truck for a few years to see the country. This is probably the best thing I have done. The driving part really sucked but getting to see the country was awesome. I was off on weekends in different cities and parts of the country. I pretty much saw everything I have ever wanted to see in the US. I only missed out on vegas and will eventually get there. Hopefully in the next few years. -
ernest_t_bassState basketball tournament officiating. In the HS level, it's the "peak." Boys state finals is the actual "peak," and haven't been there yet. But the Schot is great.

4cards...I got to play & watch the pro's at Firestone during the Bridgestone Invitational some years ago over in Akron. I was the guest of a company who had a suite inside the clubhouse (great food & drinks) , we played Firestone West & then got to sit in the seats next to the broadcasters on 18 green & all for free!

HeelzWhen I was a lifeguard I saved 6 kids from drowning and another kid while I was at the local pool years later also I saved a co- worker. When a child gives you a hug and says thank you for saving my life...makes you feel pretty good.
Also carried the Olympic torch at the car wash I worked at, not official or in the books but it happened -
Belly35The best and worst all mixed into one, the adrenalin running, ever nerve, ever senses on max ....the ambush

Congrats. Good luck this year. Outside of family and work, it is up there with experiences. -
Midstate01Since I can't pick my daughter being born, I'll go with making the deans' list last quarter. Never thought if even attempt to go back to college, but it's been a much better experience now that I'm a little older and more goal oriented.

Ironman92Coaching our local 12U softball team to the World Series beating big travel teams along the way. Daughter was the pitcher.
Coaching girls XC team to the regionals in 2009 (1st in school history)....did it again this year and it was even better.
Daughter winning the local spelling bee 3X (5th-8th grade competition)...only kid ever to win 3
Coaching my daughter's high school softball team to their 1st league title in 33 years.
In 5 months I'll have a new #1 -
redstreak oneMine is pretty simple, I failed to graduate undergrad my first time through! I know, gasp an OC'er who didn't! lol My father passed away a few years later. I vowed that day to see his and my goals come through. I went back, worked as a bartender at night, put myself through and received my teaching degree and have been working ever since! Now, my marriage and birth of my three kids trump this, but it right there after that!

Terry_TateBeing named a managing partner and getting a company car at my work. Actually just happened in December. Have worked my ass off for 4 years and was the first feeling that I really made it.

Well I haven't sold my other cars yet and have a good résumé (graduated from The OSU, B1G represent) so ill be ok. I'd have to think of something else to post on this thread then. -
thavoiceA couple of state titles were a pretty fun time in my life.
Coolest may have been the graduation of basic training at Ft Benning. They did it up pretty good. It was much cooler then my brother's Navy Graduation that is for sure. -

A PACFinishing my first marathon in South Bend last June. If you've never done it, you need to. The feeling of accomplishment is unmatched.

fan_from_texasIf we take out getting married/having kids, it gets tricky. If I'm being honest, probably the happiest I've been is on vacation with Mrs. FFT. It's just relaxing/peaceful.

Havent done a full one but have done a couple of halfs...the AIr force in dayton and the Indy mini. Yeah...the feeling of accomplishment was pretty damned amazing that is for sure. I enjoyed the HM more than 5-10Ks that I ran..probably because it is a slower pace as the 5 and 10k ya go balls out for them and finish exhausted!A PAC;1365971 wrote:Finishing my first marathon in South Bend last June.
