How long have you been at your current job?

    Ha.

$180k in student loans paid off, so I'm getting out before I become even more of a worthless, self-centered misanthropic workaholic like everyone else there.

And my two year old refers to my office as "Daddy's House," and our home as "Mommy's House," so I'm going to take something where I can, you know, take days off. Four days in four years isn't sustainable over the long run.

Well started with the company in July of 2005. Outsourced in April of 2006. Rehired in a different position in Jan 2007. So it's either. 7 1/2 years or 6 years.

B1G degrees are a burden. No one believes it, but it really is. You are expected to be a premier performer concerned with only one thing; success. Unfortunately, and as a B1G grad I will admit this, success is defined by your paycheck and not by raising your children to be a superstar. I say, good for you!

12 yrs for one company before it closed. I also worked a second job for 6 of those years. I worked another 6 yrs for another company before they did away with 12 positions one of those being mine. I also worked 3-4 days a week on side jobs while working there as well. I will be finished with my certification classes in a few weeks so should be back working somewhere soon again I hope. Still doing some small jobs here and there to keep money coming in.

Ever since I contemplated killing myself for the first time, and that was 3.5 years ago. Like Automatik, currently in pursuit of something new, something I should've done a long time ago but didn't because I was making decent money and was "comfortable" (aside from wanting to die). I work in corporate communications and it is boring as fuck.

"Four days in four years isn't sustainable over the long run."

    This part isn't advertised.

Between 1999 and 2008 I think I took a total of one month of vacation. One week of that was our honeymoon, and even then I had to keep my blackberry on.

    That isn't happening again.
