Want all inclusive preferably Caribbean, no Mexico...suggestions?
  • Automatik
I've been to Punta Cana and Jamaica, both were great. You can have a great time for the money.

    Protip: Don't do it.

I know you said no Mexico but the Riviera Maya is great, I have been to Aventura Spa Palace twice as it is freaking fantastic. I have been to Punta Cana as well but like the RM in Mx better (and I had no safety concerns was just there this past Sept). Just my two cents.

Already did it(October)...shes in her first year of teaching so we put the honeymoon off till her spring break. Jamaica is currently in the lead. St Lucia was also suggested.

One of her rules for a destination is a country one of us hasn't been yet. So Canada, England, Switzerland, Mexico are out. Also want somewhere we aren't wasting a whole day flying.

Prefer Jamaica over Mexico, but your money will go further in Mexico.

Well where are you flying from? From Ohio you will be spending most of a day traveling.

Where in Jamaica? First time I went to Negril, stayed in the massive Beaches...very nice. I'm headed back this June with the same group of people and more for a wedding. This time we're going to Montego Bay.

    Staying here

Yeah so were looking at a 4-5 hour flight...but if we were to do Hawaii it would be like 10 hours. At least with a 4-5 hour flight we can leave in the AM and not waste a night.

I'd stay away from Montego Bay unless you like listening to airplanes. Go to Negril or Ocho Rios.

As a major supplier to the Cayman Islands for a very special product that I ship once a year

Cayman Islands wonderful place for a honeymoon

We went to Aruba for ours last summer. For a honeymoon I really liked it, stayed in a time share on the beach away from all of the high rise resorts. Great beaches, and also had a rental car (only $150 for the entire week) to explore the other side of the island as well. I'm not much of a beach vacation type, but ended up enjoying Aruba quite a bit.

That's a great Honeymoon idea. While there, if you make it to the town of Carlton (tiny town in the valley with ~30 wineries), check out the Seven of Hearts tasting room. They have great Pinots from their vineyard (though you will start to get tired of Pinot if you do a couple days of tasting), but they also produce other styles of wine as well. Their tasting consists of 10 different wines, nearly all of which are great. It's my favorite small winery in the state, and the tasting experience is great, as it's usually the winemaker Byron pouring...

I will never tire of Oregon Pinots. I love those things! Elk Cove got me hooked and I've since found a ton that I enjoy. Thanks for the suggestion, will definitely check it out.

Good choice. If you want the goodies, ask the bell hop or lifeguard. It should take you no more than 3 minutes to pick up.
