Honestly, how often are women attacked on the streets of Chicago? What're the chances she fires off her gun even if she is attacked? I say there is a better chance of her getting attacked and getting the gun stolen than her fending off an attacker.
I'll now wait for belly to say his daughter is too tough and smart to be overpowered.
Edit: He beat me to it "She has two knifes (trained by dad for usage),strong right cross and kick combo. However if something where to happen, where she has to get out of Chicago, she will have the pistol ready to protect herself."
I considered using speeding as an example, but speed does indeed increase the danger in the event of an accident, so it's not
quite a 1-to-1 parallel. However, I'll suggest that it is possible to speed responsibly, even though you're breaking the law.
It may or may not be a good idea, and that is DEFINITELY another point of contention that could have some validity. It would take some reasonable discussion to arrive at a consensus on that, but let's face it: We're on Ohio Chatter. Not much reasonable discussion happens here.
As for the chances, I don't know. However, it DOES seem as though there have been enough instances of an armed citizen stopping an armed assailant for it to be at least worthy of discussion as a viable option. I don't know how many lives are lost to armed gunmen each year, but I also don't know how many are spared by armed citizens being able to neutralize an armed gunman or otherwise assailant. I daresay it would be interesting as part of this discussion.
