Breckenridge/Vail

thedynasty1998Any OC'ers been out there? I'm going out there for a conference at the end of the month and want to take a couple extra days to spend in the mountains. I'm not a skier, so will just be enjoying the scenery and hopping around.
Anyone have recommendations on where to stay, or things to do? -
Commander of AwesomeYea, do us all a favor. Find a cliff and throw yourself off of it.

sportchamppsWe have a vacation home in Breckenridge. It's a beautiful little town. I would recommend finding a condo to rent. I know ours let's us just exit right to a ski lift. I'm not sure what I would do there though if I didn't ski. The Lodges are nice and the town is beautiful but it's pretty small and the roadways will probably eliminate traveling very far this time of year. Breckenridge does have some great brewery that are worth checking out thoug.

Could you try learning how to ski? It's really fun.thedynasty1998;1356939 wrote:

Or this. Take an early morning lesson. Depending on your age and/or physical ability, you can be somewhat successful on the first day.said_aouita;1357176 wrote:Could you try learning how to ski? It's really fun. -

Skiing isn't that difficult. Hardest part is stopping quickly. The instructor most likely would teach you how to properly "slide" as a bailout. -
adogHave not been in that area for roughly 20 yrs and I am sure it has changed a lot since then ...but no matter what, the views and moutains are beautiful all the time, especially this time of the year

thedynasty1998I can ski, but the wife is pregnant. I may ski a bit, but we are just going to relax for a couple days. My flight is free and we are staying in Denver for 3 nights for free, so we just wanted something easy for a couple days.
I know it's a small town, but we'll bounce around and go to some restaurants and enjoy the scenery. -
said_aouitaGo on an adventure. Maybe get a rental for a day? Lots of cool little towns only a few minutes away.
Go check out Red Cliff or some park on Eagle river.
