New Year's Eve Plans

  • Ironman92
Mine is a simple fairly boring....having another couple over for chit chat, some wings and pizza. They'll probably leave at 12:15 and we'll probably hit the sack around 12:30-12:45. We're old...

Let me hear some good plans.

Haven't set them yet. My lady wants to pay $70 each to go to a bar(that I like, I'll admit) for unlimited drinks and pizza. Seeing how combined we might reach $70 in goods, I don't like this idea.

Plus somebody has to drive and i'm not paying $70 for two beers and a pizza.

3 years ago we did New Year's Eve at the Funny Bone and even though it was a little pricey....it was really a great time

I'll be at home with The Wife. We met 1/1/2000 just after midnight, so we usually stay home and Celebrate. Only once since then have we actually went some place else for New Years.

Haven't made the plans yet. We (wife and I) threw around the idea of Nashville, Chicago, Toronto, Baltimore, and maybe another place within driving/short flight. We have family and/or friends in each location. I had a voucher that I thought would get us a hotel in some of the cities, but it turns out it can only be used for flights.

It appears we'll be staying in Ohio for the New Years. I have pondered on giving up my teetotaler status in 2013. We'll see...a lot of deciding to do on that one.

As a single guy, I'm still fielding party offers. Will pick the best one to attend.

Most likely Jamison or Glenliven with a few friends and family over.

All depends on how much I want to spend. There are several DJs playing I'd like to see, but that will cost a lot since most tickets have been sold out for a while.

I may just hit up a friend's party at her apartment and keep it low key.

Dinner with the GF and friends. Then back to the house for a champagne toast at midnight. We did a big NYE event last year at The Drake in Chicago. It was awesome, but expensive, and I've never been more hungover in my life. 2,000 people, open bar with buffet. $140 a pop.

Got locked out of my apartment last year so had to pay a locksmith $300 just to get back in. Never partying hard for NYE again. Too expensive (sans locksmith bill), not worth it, and I can get drunk off my own booze.

Cocaine, hit up downtown, probably call up an escort around 4am.

    Pretty much a typical Monday.

Im doing the hard rock cafe in Chicago, it was $120 a person..my gf actually said she'll pay hers, which was nice. We looked at the Drake, heard they do it right.

I spend a hundred bucks every time I go out in Chicago, so im not too pissed off about the price. So damn expensive in this city.

Sunday nite is a concert at the Bank & Blues Club with Victor Wainwright & the WildRoots. NYE is ice skating at the bandshell on the beach, then dinner at OceanWalk, then block party on Main St with live bands. Then next weekend is the Roar before the 24. I can't wait to go home.

got a ticket to the Renaissance Hotel in Cbus for $100. Since I'm staying at the hotel, I'll definitely get $100 worth of drinks. Should be fun

I've done this twice in the past....both were a good time. Can't beat it for the price.

Last time I was at Mancy's was in back in 1984 or 1985. I'd like to make the trip north to eat there again with The Wife.

This would be ideal for me. But no one is having a shindig. My girlfriend is set on pissing me off and making me go downtown.

Same as last year. Hang out with good friends. Cook up $75 worth of meat. Drunk a few cases of beer. Pass out at 2. Wake up at 3 and sear the pork loin and put it in the crock pot. Pass back out.

Going up to Chicago actually. Have some friends that live NE of the city. Not sure if we'll go downtown or not.
