I agree. He most likely would shoot the guard and keep right on going.

What a sick thing to do. ou have to be filled with pure evil to the core to do this. Hell, even the MAFIA has rules on their murders. A classroom full of kindergardners?? Jesus fucking Christ. Those kids are the happiest people on earth, how the hell do you just take all their lives??

My mom teaches Kindergarden and when I walk into her classroom the kids are so happy and full of life it makes me smile everytime, no matter how upset I am. This is just sick. Fucking sick.

    Makes it even worse.

He took a life, then had time after during the drive to the school to think about it and still was hyped up enough to go kill a bunch of kids.

    That is one sick fuck.

With what? No way a school is going to put an armed officer in the school. Imagine the backlash if that officer was breaking up a fight and the gun went off, killing a student?

How would that happen? Is he going to draw on everyone that comes through the door and keep them in the sights until they clear the metal detector?

How many deaths have we had in the past year associated with improper police procedures? The only "practical" solution is to lock-down schools like prisons, but that would only result in the crazies finding other ways or other targets.

I am truly sickened. My stomach is churning, and I freely admit tears are streaming down my cheeks. I have been to some of the most horrific places in the world and have seen indescribably sickening actions. But, when it happens in your country; your seemingly sane, compassionate part of the world; it is devastating. I can not imagine how an adult human being can turn a weapon on an elementary aged child. Within the limited context of the life I have lived, I do not see how it is possible, to aim a gun at a child and pull the trigger. Ihope I am never able to understand.

He killed his mother, who was a teacher at the school. Most of the victims were his mother's students.

The cop in our school had a gun.

Hearing that the shooter killed someone in Hoboken, NJ, then drove up to Connecticut to gun down a room of Kindergarten kids. I am absolutely disgusted right now. I guess his mom was a teacher in the school.

That was my assumption, don't know if it was actually his (ex)wife/(ex)girlfriend.

That guy is creepy as hell with the BS hipster attire. Somebody will say something like "Ryan was a loner and weird but nobody ever thought he'd do something like this." Well guess what people? ....weird loner guys do shit like this and if you know one its time to start asking questions.

I'm from as-rural-as-you-can-get Ohio and we even had an armed officer in school part time.

Makes sense. His fb info says lives in Hoboken and from this other town.

I'm at the age now where my nieces and nephews are hitting that kindergarten age. This story absolutely sickens me. I am at a complete loss of words over this.

Did not a security guard, but we had ID badges. lol like an ID badge would do anything.

Most HS Sporting events have armed officers. I know plenty of schools that have armed (and they wear their vests also) officers on campus all day. It wouldnt stop a psycho from trying...but the likelihood that they can stop him SOMEHOW is 1000000X more likely than if an officer isnt on duty.

And if we are worried about what the officer might do in regards to "everyday" issues. Make it a standard that the cop doesnt get involved unless there are weapons involved. That takes his involvement out of the daily fights that you might have.

That's how my school was. Very rural. He was armed and we also had every other week checks of our lockers and cars with dogs.

and there is no hiding that .223. Surely a school with preventive measures could have stopped the problem before it began.

MSNBC is saying that the parent of the shooter was found dead.

This sick fuck shot his mom or dad and then went to gun down little kids.

Hell has a special place reserved for him.

Pyschologists are going to have a field day with this one. I don't know how long of a drive that is, but that sort of separation would seem very unique and just beyond comprehension.
