Ohio's Championship Teams
-
NOL fanThis is a quiz about Ohio's sports championship history. How many can you name?

Polar Bear 73I missed two: 1920 and 1984.
-
IliketurtlesI missed all the teams from 1920-1924 for the NFL never even heard of those names lol.
-
TiernanYou never heard of the Canton Bulldogs? They started the NFL turtle.
I didn;t get the BGSU Hockey or Cols Crew but who cares its hockey and soccer. -
IliketurtlesI knew there used to be a team in Canton just never knew of the name lol.
-
reclegend22Without looking:
Indians 1948?
Cleveland won some NFL championships with Jim Brown. Not sure on the years.
Reds in the '70s and in 1990.
I don't believe Boomer ever won anything with the Bengals, although I know he lost a Super Bowl to the 49ers.
Pretty much I know nothing about Ohio sports lol. -
reclegend22On second thought, I guess we weren't just talking about professional sports. Nevermind. I would have done much better. Having grown up near Bowling Green, the Falcons 1984 hockey national championship is the stuff of legend around here.

OSHI did it to see if the Crew were on there...that's the only one I cared about. I'll support Sporcle even more than I have before because it's in there.
-

NOL fanTouche indeed. I totally forgot about that title.
The quiz has been updated. Thanks for the correction. -
OSHIf you wanted to update a bit more...the Cleveland City Stars won USL-2 (which is now USL Pro) in 2008 too.
-
ThePatriotWhat's with that fucking ad for whooping cough that's blocking my view of the quiz. I try and tap the X to close it and it just opens the ad. Driving me insane.
Cool site though. -
Pick6The 1920 Akrons Pros outscored opponents 154-7
-
GOONx19Browns won AAFC championships in 1946, 1947, 1948, and 1949.

Nah, for simplicity I'm going to leave it as is: Highest level of pro and college for the 5 biggest team sports.OSH;1343512 wrote:If you wanted to update a bit more...the Cleveland City Stars won USL-2 (which is now USL Pro) in 2008 too.
I don't want to open the can of worms of including anything below that (this is the reason I left out the Browns 4 AAFC titles from the 1940's) -
SykotykI had nailed all of them except 1984, so just started typing every D1 college in Ohio until I hit on Bowling Green (it was the last one I had left). Had 42 seconds left.
