Seriously, good luck with it. -
Ironman92Wife had it done....not much has changed. For a while she couldn't handle greasy type foods but now she's back as always.

HitsRusGall bladder with the laparoscope is pretty easy, especially compared to the 'old' way. Only problem I had is.... that 15 years down the road, the scar at one of the points they went in, left a weakness in my abdominal wall and I have a tender spot.

isadoreoutpatient, not too bad.

TimberHad mine taken out in 2002... Gallstones. Was furtunate they were able to do it with a laparoscope. As I was coming out of the anesthesia, I asked the nurse if they were able to do the small incisions and she said "Honey, you can still wear your speedo!" I lol'd... for sure, because that would never happen.
Outpatient procedure, had to keep down clear liquids (soup) before they would let me leave... slept in a rocker recliner for a while, that was easy to rock out of and stand up.
Good luck!
I haven't noticed any complications from the procedure. -
ernest_t_bassI had my heart replaced with my gall bladder like a fucking BAUS!

bigdaddy2003Finally having my surgery tomorrow morning. They haven't even called to tell me when I'm supposed to be there yet. Ha I guess they figure you shouldn't have trouble finding a ride to get there.
-
Commander of AwesomeGood luck buddy! Sure you'll do just fine as I'd imagine its a rather routine surgery at this point. Get time off work to recover?

They normally don't call until late in the afternoon, around 4 or 5ish.bigdaddy2003;1368136 wrote:Finally having my surgery tomorrow morning. They haven't even called to tell me when I'm supposed to be there yet. Ha I guess they figure you shouldn't have trouble finding a ride to get there. -

rrfanI have been fighting this for about two years. They wanted to take mine out and I have been putting it off. I have no stones, but I have what they call "sludge". Good Luck Bigdaddy please let me know how it goes.
