Both a money clip and a wallet?

The money clip is easier to get to and has all the stuff I would need on a daily basis--cash, credit, ID, parking card. The wallet carries the other stuff that I may need from time to time (ATM card, library card, hotel/airline rewards card, etc.), but don't need out all the time. I pretty much never get into it, but it's good to have that stuff on me just in case.

For people who just carry a money clip, what do you do with the misc stuff you might need?

Sounds like you need a purse.

Keep all this misc stuff in a wallet, which I keep in the console of my car (it's too bulky to carry with me).

Consolidate what you need to have on you at all times in the money clip and just plan ahead for the other stuff. I pretty much know when I'm traveling or when I'm going to the library or when I'm running to the store that day, so I can plan to carry the extra card I might need, but otherwise, I leave all that at home.

This is what I do. I refer to it as a "wallet" just because its the only thing like that which I carry, but I get along pretty well just carrying my ID, a bank card, and a credit card with any cash I may have (which is rarely any, as I prefer plastic).

RDI called it; others followed. Trueblue23 NAILED it!!!

Reading through this, I couldn't helpo but laugh. Even my kids (8 and 4) go through my checklist when leaving the house... Keys, wallet, phone. EXACTLY as Trueblue23 described it.

EDIT: Mechanical pencils are for Reginoal finalists! (Gotta be honest here... wouldn't mind changing that to state sei-finalists!!!)
