I'm looking to purchase a hammr drill

  I used to work for Milwaukee and can tell you that Hilti makes the best hammer drill. More than likely though, it's more than you need.
  The new Milwaukee FUEL line is by far head and shoulders above any comparable brands. Dewalt has been a sinking ship for a few years now ever since B&D bought them and sequentially bought by Stanley. DeWalt has decent RPM, but fairly low torque, where Milwaukee has really good torque but not as high RPM as Dewalt. Ridgid is also a newcomer that can now compete with the bigger boys and you can't really beat the free parts, batteries and service for life. Bottom line, if you go cordless the batteries are going to be the most crucial aspect to consider. Milwaukee BY FAR has the best batteries, followed by Ridgid. Since TTI owns both brands the same samsung cells are used, but the electronics are better in Milwaukee.

  Milwaukee is where it is at, but they are expensive.

  Nothing yet, but yesterday I looked at a Craftsmen and a Dewalt. Dewalt had WAY higher BPM and RPM, and was like $20 cheaper. I'm stopping at Home Depot tonight. I am almost positive I've seen Milwaukee products there. After I see the price tag, BPM & RPM, I'll make my selection. If the Milwaukee drill is less than double of either the of the other two, it'll be Milwaukee. Here's hoping it's not $236!!!
  
  Note: I am willing to go with the Hilti.
  
  As it stands now, my only issue is buying something NOT red and black. ...Go Cruisers!

  Working in the construction industry, there is nothing close to a Hilti. Go with that. More expensive, but it will be 10X as durable.
  
  Bosch is a close second, followed by Milwaukee.

  Buy the cheapest. It will lay around and collect dust as well as anything else.
