At least once. Usually twice, sometimes more.

This is the truth. My parents live 2 minutes from my work(my career) and my dad is one of those plan, plan, plan people. My bank account keeps going up. People look at me weird sometimes, but when I say that 85% of my paycheck goes into savings, they shut up.

I'd rather be in debt than live with my parents. I'm not going to try to bring a girl back to my mom's place; I mean are you kidding?

This. I couldn't wait to GTFO out of my parent's house. After going away for college there's no way I could have gone back to my parent's house. Time to grow up.

I have a girlfriend and I can bring her over as much as I want. I get all the privacy I need. My parents don't step on my toes at all.

My parents aren't a pain in the ass. There's nothing I could do at college that I can't do at their house. I get drunk when I want to. I bring my girl over when I want to. I also get free food, free utilities, and all the other perks.

I'm not saying everybody has the same situation. I'm just saying that, being able to save most of my paycheck(I don't make a lot), is clutch at this point in my life. I'll have a nice safety net for when I do move out, which isn't too far off.

I would live with my parents again, for the sole purpose of getting out of some of the debt I've accrued over the past couple years.

I wonder how much money is spent yearly by guys trying to get laid? I would bet it's significant.

I lived on my own for six years before I moved back home. It was definitely something I didn't want to do at the time, but it has worked out really well.

I am in the same situation. I am not one to take home randoms guys, but when I am dating someone they are welcome there any time. I go out when I want, do basically whatever I want and live rent free.

Yeah different situations. When I left for college Freshman year, my mom changed my room around and turned into an office. I come home for break and all of my shit is in boxes and my room only has my bed in it. I lived back home for a about 4 months after college when I moved back from Florida and before I moved to the East Coast and my mom charged me rent, and I had a chores list. Which was ridiculous as I was working more than my mom. Needless to say I couldn't wait to GTFO. Made it abundantly clear, no free rides.

Your mom doesn't charge me anything.

Now, in that case, I'd already be out.

Cut the apron strings, people, your parents raised you to be independent and self sufficient. If you have a job, move out and get your own place, and your parents will be just fine (that is unless you are a caregiver and they need you there in that capacity)....and they also may be able to save a little of their hard earned $$$.

Also true, but I'm told poor people order from something called a dollar menu. Not sure what that's all about.

If you include rent, it is very significant.

I usually order for the twenty dollar menu. No matter how much the food is, it's always $20.

Have you seen my generation? Independent? Hardly.

My parents are actually just fine even with me there. They have plenty of room, I buy my own food, help around the house, run errands for them etc. They are saving plenty of money and so am I.

I used to have pizza multiple times a week, but that didn't fit in too well with weight loss, so it's down to once every couple weeks or so. Of course, during that time, the local Dominos started offering lunch and it's about a few doors down from the office, so the Overweight Women's Club of our workplace orders from there every other day, so I'm constantly tantalized by the smell. Not cool, people, not cool...

It is much much much easier when you have your own place. I knocked up my girlfriend in college and moved back in with my parents. I had a significant dry spell until I finished college and bought a house. Then just like magic the girls started to show up again.

That is correct. I spent most of my high school years studying away and playing hoops. I get buckets now to make up for it.

From pizza to living with your patents....

As for being out of college and living with your parents... Meh, just don't put off the vibe like you do live with your parents and it's all good.
