I think it is pretty cool they are coming out with another one, dont know about disney doing it though. Thought EP III was pretty good. I...eh, II not too bad. THere was a reason why they started the movies at IV...the story was better.

Have not read the books but I bet the story going forward could be pretty good.

i read a few of the subsequent books. Been so long I can't really remember much, but I think they were fairly entertaining. Of course, hard to say because I think there are a bunch of books out there along the theme but not officially part of the series.

Vader and the Emperor are dead. That's kind of a crippling blow.

Anyway, I'm a big fan (at least of IV and V)...will watch.

Admiral Thrawn would have to be the antagonist post vader and emperor.

Great. I hope Disney maintains the Lucas integrity and won't make the movie Goofy.

I really hope Jar Jar is the hero

I enjoyed 3. 4-6 are classics. 1-2 are bad. I think 7 could be good or it could suck. With Disney in charge, I'm thinking it won't be that great. If they don't worry about their image of the movie with their name behind it, it could be pretty solid.

One things for sure though...this will make a shit ton of $$$$

Hope they bring Dark Helmet back.

I hear Goofy is playing Jarr Jar Binks and Donald Duck returns as Duck Vader.

You guys are forgetting one big thing when you say the 7th film will suck just because Disney is in charge....

Disney bought Marvel Studios BEFORE "The Avengers" came out, and we all know how that film turned out...

Reading more into this, Disney now owns the entire Indiana Jones franchise now...

Do they also now own Harrison Ford by default?

I hope they make an Episode 3.5 - So much happens between Vader being "born" at the end of 3 and episode 4.

    The interesting tidbits to me:

-They said they'll be coming out with a Star Wars movie every 2-3 years
-Lucas has said "its time to pass the torch to a new generation of filmmakers" thank god
    -episodes 7-9 are already written

Disney has treated its acquisitions pretty well (Pixar, Marvel) and I actually have more hope for whatever Disney Star Wars would come out than for the last three movies. Especially since Disney has resources like Pixar to help with story development.

Interested to see where they take the series

You mean Luke and Leia? Vader was a young adult in Ep 3.

I'm guessing he means when Anakin becomes Vader as Vader being "born" to where he is so powerful in A New Hope.

Yeah, read that too. Also says Disney is willing to dive into Sci-fi again even after the disaster that was John Carter.

Leaia starts getting Jedi training. Oh, was that a spoiler?
