Anyone got a better option?
I think I'm going with the 32gb if/when it's announced officially. -
Midstate01I have an iPad2. It's awesome for me. Watch all the reds games on it. I use it all the time. Do all my schoolwork on it. If I'm at the house and just sitting around, I'm on the iPad. The laptop is useless to me anymore.

I use my IPad outside watching TV on it while drinking my Non Bud Light beers...but only just to make my average life feel better. -
hoops23I watch porn on my iPad 2.

Emmett BrownI was thinking about getting this until today. I keep forgetting that apple only releases old technology. I was hoping for an HD screen for around $250.

bases_loadedI switched to frontier phone and Internet today and they gave me a $450 apple gift card.
Gonna order the retina display soon as it comes. -

No way. How can they possibly make money doing that.. -

I mean obviously they're making money. But currently I'm paying $55 a month just for Internet. By switching to them I'm getting home phone and Internet for $67 plus they knock $5 a month off my dish bill and for signing a two year deal I get the $450 apple gift card. -

It'll take more then 6 months then before they even make up the 450. Seems like a great deal for you!! Not so much for them. -

That's assuming they paid $450 for the gift card...which they paid probably 170-250. Not bad on their end and great for him -
bases_loadedThe promotion runs till the end of November if anyone is looking to switch phone companies.

You read all the fine print? Sometimes they suck you in with promotional pricing that only lasts 6-12 months but, DOH!, you signed a 2-yr contractbases_loaded;1305256 wrote:I mean obviously they're making money. gutAs for a phone, I picked up an Ooma and now have free VoIP with google voice. It actually works really well, and free nationwide until google starts charging (which may or may not happen, I'm betting not before 2014). You do pay like $5 a month for taxes and 911
The one thing that's annoying is there is a bad lag to answer an incoming call (could be because I use a GV number rather than the direct number). It's pretty good/clear - quality rivals most land lines and is superior to cell phones. -
bases_loadedPrice locked for 2 years.

OK, hopefully that's what the fine print says. Sometimes the price is locked, but the promotional discount that reduces the cost for 6-12 months is not.bases_loaded;1305603 wrote:Price locked for 2 years. -

I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up -

You're probably good. More of a public service announcement. I know in one case I had STARZ free, or so I thought, but that was only a 3-month promo. I wasn't locked in, I just needed to cancel. Don't remember if they refunded me or not.bases_loaded;1305743 wrote:I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up
