Anyone own/have owned/have driven a Ford Edge or newer model Taurus?
-
justincredibleContemplating trading in my truck for a used Edge or Taurus. Just curious if anyone has any experience with either model? I'm hoping to check out some car lots this weekend to possibly give them a test drive.

Thanks for the response. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.GoChiefs;1302046 wrote:I think you're more of a Prius type. -
rydawg5I've driven them. They are pretty nice. The interior quality could be better compared to some competitioin (i.e. Murano) but they look hugely different as the Murano looks like a "chick car" - Other than the Edge I may look at the new Nissan Pathfinder as it has gone to a "unibody" frame for more of a car ride. Another CUV/SUV to check out may be a Highlander? Going with your gut is never the wrong way to go though.

Ironman92The Edge is a pretty stylish Ford....the Taurus is just so 1990's salesman.

Yeah the name sucks. However the Taurus with that Sony Sync technology is badassIronman92;1302061 wrote:The Edge is a pretty stylish Ford....the Taurus is just so 1990's salesman. -
Crimson streakI have a Nissan rogue and I love it. It's a 4 cyl. But it drives like a 6. And it gets about 24-26 mpg. It has a pretty similar body style as the edge

j_crazyI love the edge i bought j_lady. Great car. Only complaint i have is that it seats 5. With 2 kids its pretty tight. Plus the wife wants more kids so.... shit.

It's not the same class though. The back seat noise in the Rogue is not the best. It's definitely smaller and does have the 2.5 4 banger, but it's dying for a make over (which is coming soon)Crimson streak;1302069 wrote:I have a Nissan rogue and I love it. It's a 4 cyl. I've had no problems with noise in the back? Mine is a 2010 and I don't think they have changed the body style at all lol -

Thanks for the info. Not a huge fan of the exterior of the Murano and Highlander. Highlander also looks a lot bigger, or am I crazy?rydawg5;1302056 wrote:I've driven them. They are pretty nice. I'm used to the Ford interior as we have an F-150 and Fusion, I don't mind it at all. -

The older model Taurus, I absolutely agree. The new model is friggin' sweet, though.Ironman92;1302061 wrote:The Edge is a pretty stylish Ford....the Taurus is just so 1990's salesman. -

I had an 09 quad cab F150 and didn't mind the interior either. I'd probably at least check out the new pathfinder. Highlander is same class but nothing special anymore. Murano is a women's car. Edge is not a bad choice at all. I don't know what I'd choose, i just bought a CRV but it's not the same class, its what my wife wanted and I unfortunately traded in my dream truck for it.justincredible;1302112 wrote:Thanks for the info. If I looked at that car and saw the driver DIDN'T look like Kate Upton I'd be so pissed.
