Incorrect. Sleeper doesn't waste money on TV's!

OLED's are going to be sweet. Game changing, just because of the thinness and flexibility and all the applications that presents.

But note also cable/network broadcasts are 720p (maybe some sports get bumped to true HD= 1080p), and I don't see that changing very soon. So unless you watch a lot of movies, you're maybe not going to see a big difference between 720 and 1080.

It should at $10,000 minimum :D

True but Obama-types will be handing out OLED TV's instead of iPhones 10 years from now to secure the welfare vote.

With 1080p available, why don't broadcast and cable companies clamor to do it? Is it cost prohibitive? You would think that some network somewhere would get the ball rolling with the tag line: "All 1080, all the time!"

I remember when broadcast TV went from B&W to color. It took a few years for all of them to go completely color.

    It's all about bandwidth.

Useless without identifying the specific model.

It goes back and forth, but I actually thought the top-rated Samsung models were getting top billing the last few years. But sometimes what separates them is 3D, and who cares about that?
