I am considering buying either an x-box or a playstation Which one should I buy?

  • Zombaypirate
I do not own a gameing system right now, but I have seen Skyrim and want to play it, and FIFA is coming out with FIFA 2013.

For you serious gamers out there which one should I buy and why? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each gaming system?

Anyone own FIFA games? Are they any good?

PlayStation had the better hardware and exclusives

Xbox has the better online network

    I own both btw

    Why? What makes PS3 better?

Xbox has better online gaming if you plan on playng games like Call of Duty. For just Skyrim and FIFA id probably just go PS3.

Depends-if you want to play games get the X-Box, if you want your credit card information stolen you should probably go with the PS3

Sports games are better on PS3. Games like Halo and Call of Duty (and online gaming) are better on X-Box. Depends what you want to use it for. I have a PS3 and love it.

I own a PS3. Have never been a fan of Xbox. I hate the controller, plus I dont like to pay to play online.

You can't really go wrong w/ either so it comes down to personal preference.

I've had both and eventually parted ways with the Xbox. I didn't dislike it, it just never got used after I purchased the PS.

Right now I'd go with a PS3, the new super slim looks hot.

Own both, bc of the cost of paying for live never use the 360.

I play NCAA 13 and going to destroy pick6666666 this year and stream netflix.

0-1 against. 0-3 after this season (that is if you can make the conference championship)

Might as well just wait a couple months for the PS4 if you want to go the Sony route.

Just an FYI if Skyrim is a must, I'd go Xbox. Its all screwed up on PS3.

    360 here. I enjoy it.

I play FIFA like crazy on it. It's good stuff. I am not much of an online gamer either, just Halo. I used to be a Playstation guy, but made the transition easily -- glad I did too.

I prefer xbox although the only console I play anymore is N64.
  • sportchampps
I would recommend 360. I say this as someone who plays online a lot. The level of play also sees better on the xbox then on he ps3.

As odd as it sounds this is almost exactly my response. I play NCAA 13 on 360 but usually when I play games anymore its with my buddies and we're doing mariokart, super smash, or NFL blitz.

I pretty much only play Gran Turismo 5 on ps3. Skyrim looks fun though.

I like the 360 for the online pay, and I think the controller is much better. More ergonomic, feels right in the hand.

This. I don't understand the technical jargon, but there's some difference in the hardware where the save files are smaller or something like that on the PS3, so for games like Skyrim, the more stuff you find, the more jammed-up the save files get, which causes the game to get more glitchy and load times to gradually get longer and longer until the game's near-unplayable. I don't know if Bethesda has found a way around this yet, but if you want to play that game, it could be a hassle on the PS3.
