I agree with this. Do some digging. It's actually really cool to find out about your family and their history.

Found out that we have royalty in our ancestry, as well as mental disorders (more than one branch in the family tree going back four generations had some sort of breakdown into "insanity").

    This explains SO much.

My mom is 54, i call her mom. How many of you were mistakes? Based on some peoples posts about their age and their moms age I'm gonna guess a lot of you.

My lady is 27 and her mom is 45.

    My mom wanted a girl.

Nope. I have the information/ability to get the proper information (or my aunt/parents do) if I ever wanted to try to contact her. But really, I have never had a desire to. Ive always consisdered my parents to be those who adopted me. I am grateful my mom didnt have an abortion, since she was 15 when she got pregnant, but never considered her a part of my life. I was adopted before I was born, so Ive only ever been held by my current mom and dad.

I do know that she was 100% Lithuanian and that my biological father was not going to be around. Im sure my (biological) mom knows who it is, but no one else does.

Me, for sure lol. But you can figure that out by reading my last couple posts.

My name would have been Kelly had I been a girl. They picked out both just in case. Actually, I don't know that they had the ability tell beforehand in 1970. Maybe that was commonplace to do.

My sister was an admitted mistake. They had me when they planned on having a 2nd child.

Nope, I was the youngest kid. She's 54.

I call my mom: mom, ma, or mother...it depends. It's usually "mom" when it's serious, other times "ma" or "mother" are just goofing off. She'll be 53 in December -- I just turned 27 last month and was no accident.

But, I'm glad my dad axed the name she wanted to name me: Xavier.

My mom had my oldest brother when she was 19. He was an accident. The rest of us (she has five kids total) were all planned.

My college roommate has a very young mom. She was 16 when she had her oldest and 18 when she had my roommate.

So is she 52 or 45 which is it?
  • Iliketurtles

I call my mom mom, and she just turned 57 a couple weeks ago. Great women, and sacrificed a lot for us kids growing up.

Funny. I actually tease my 2 sisters about this all the time. I'm the middle child, and the only planned one.

My mom would've been 43 this year, I'm 23. My moms twin sister, who is basically my second mom, is... You guessed it, 43 lol. The "twin" thing gave it away.

    Mom...

She gave birth to me at 16 years and 3 months of age. Kept THE cleanest house ever growing up. Went back to school at age 28 and was a 4.0 student for her entire college stay......went to be a teacher, but a big mistake IMO that she never taught a day...not even as a substitute.

11 years ago my mom and her younger sister were going to get a restraining order on her sister's psycho boyfriend....aunt got out of the car and was shot in the head and killed immediately....my mom saw it happen to her baby sister....mom drove off while being shot at. The fucker killed himself on Cleveland Avenue in Columbus an hour later.

Mom has smoked two packs a day since age 13....she's now 54 and will need surgery in a month and I worry about her health. She's a tough one.

She once bowled a 258 game and broke 40 a few times back in the day on 9 holes.

I address my mom as "mom", "mother", "mommy", "mother dearest" and occasionally the "birth giver". I like to mix it up. Have a really good relationship with her.
