I've read quite a few horror stories you've posted/tweeted about your boss.. Guy sounds like a dbagFab4Runner;1256459 wrote:I can as well, but my micromanaging boss won't allow it. He lives a couple blocks from our office (which is in town) while I live out in the country on a road that never gets plowed and have a nightmare of a driveway to get up and down. But back in his day, people just went to work no matter what. No excuses. Etc. etc.
He actually refused to believe that my driveway is as bad as it is and then one day he told me that he "somehow ended up on our road by accident and yeah, it is pretty steep". You don't just end up on my road by accident, but I was actually glad that he had finally seen it for himself. Not that it mattered.
Okay. Enough bitching. -

A lot of those were pretty funny. My 2 favorites were "Close your door" and the last one where you could just see the truck coming down the hill towards the camera.said_aouita;1256338 wrote:
Honestly though, a lot of those could have been avoided. People were coming up to that one busy intersection WAYYYY to hot. -
bigkahunaAs for the topic, SNOW SNOW SNOW AND MORE SNOW SNOW SNOW!

Average winter IMO. However with weak to moderate El Ninos there is a greater chance for big storms. So not constant snow like we saw in the middle of last decade where it was just always spittin stuff out. It all depends on what are called blocking patterns. Last year was a La Nina and we all thought it was going to be a brutal one. However the blocking pattern that setup kept all that arctic air in Canada, hence the record breaking snowfall in Alaska, and kept it warm and sunny here. Usually those patterns do not last an entire seasonBelly35;1256095 wrote:I loved last winter I save money, gas bill low, electric bill low, travel was eazy and realy just enjoyed the winter of 2012. Really would like to see the same this Winter of 2013...
What can we expect in the Winter of 2013?
What are your predictions?

Climate may be changing but man releases barely any CO2 compared to what the oceans do. 90% of all CO2 comes from them. Also it was a La Nina last season, not an El Ninogut;1256168 wrote:We're going to pay the price. El nino contributed to an unusually warm winter last year...meanwhile, other parts of the world saw record lows. This is why they now call it "climate change", because global warming doesn't really fit any more.
It's hot because of man. It's cold because of man. Man not winning. -

He definitely is. My job does have it's perks, though which is why I am still here.Trueblue23;1256697 wrote:I've read quite a few horror stories you've posted/tweeted about your boss.. Guy sounds like a dbag -

I'll take shoveling snow over mowing grass anytime. -

Mowing doesn't kill your back after a while.killer_ewok;1256891 wrote:I'll take shoveling snow over mowing grass anytime. -
bigkahunaNeither does shoveling if you have a snow blower.
