Please tell me you're obfuscating stupidity with this post. Because if not...whoa...QuakerOats;1256278 wrote:Correct; because when government agencies fail again (as they always do), it might get blamed on obama this time, and that is not allowed.

Obvious thread hijack is obviouser.sleeper;1256253 wrote:Gotcha, so a thread about the hurricane cannot discuss anything political that deals with the hurricane. Obvious power trip is obvious. -

That's fine. I will assist the moderator staff in preventing the horrific and intelligent aspect of politics in any thread outside of the basement and the politics forum. I'm glad the moderator staff is dedicated to stopping this travesty from occurring ever again.O-Trap;1256272 wrote:Actually, obvious not-want-to-deal-with-a-political-shit-fit-in-the-Serious-Business-forum is obvious not-want-to-deal-with-a-political-shit-fit-in-the-Serious-Business-forum.
If you wanna talk about the hurricane, then Serious Business is fine. If you want to talk about the political connections to the hurricane, Politics is tailored for it.
How is that difficult? -
Tigerfan00Has Bill Clinton sent the Army to New Orleans yet?

One would think instead of a mere human preparing to avoid death, that one would simply ask a higher power to protect them. Funny how prayer only seems to work when you don't actually pray.O-Trap;1256406 wrote:Sounds like they think preparing is a good idea. You may be disappointed. -

Eh, prayer isn't about asking for things from a genie, so I'm not sure why asking for things is the only time it can "work," but by what knowledge to you claim that it only "works" when a person doesn't pray?sleeper;1256497 wrote:One would think instead of a mere human preparing to avoid death, that one would simply ask a higher power to protect them. Classyposter58A buddy of mine is currently chasing Issac down in Galliano, LA which is an hour south of New Orleans. Said this...
"Really surprised by the duration and power of this storm. Not at all what I was expecting. For a Cat 1, it's just epic. It's got to be the worst Cat 1-- from a size and power standpoint-- ever to hit the USA. And while it's large, it's not a sloppycane-- the highest winds of the night seem to be happening right now, very close to the center"
This I believe is the 20th one he's chased -
WebFireLooks like we could get a bit of rain from this.

said_aouitaAnyone watching TWC? Jim Cantore is holding Al Roker upright and keeping him from blowing away.

Galliano is legit. Lots of money there. A gator farmer Down there is a legit billionaire, don't know how he did it, but his farm is cool. He has a white alligator thats neat.
Plus its where 50% of the helicopters that service GOM operations are based. So they will have it cleaned up first. -
QuakerOats
Actually Houma, LA is well south of NO; I know someone there and the wind has hit 50 mph (not bad), but the issue is going to be rainfall; they were already pretty well saturated. They need to storm to move quickly or they will have flooding issues.said_aouita;1256844 wrote:If your buddy is chasing storms an hour South of New Orleans, I hope he's in a boat. -

Noticed on the map it's surrounded by lots of bays and lakes.
Makes me wonder, how close are those swamp gator hunter tv shows on Discovery channel to Gallino?
