  I've fired guns before (shotguns and rifles). But I have never owned one nor plan to as I don't see a need.

  Say what? If this means what I think you intended it to mean (it's tough trying to decipher something from someone that is MR/DD), then my only answer would be that with someone like you, why would I need a gun?

  I have a 20 gauge, 12 gauge, .223, .22, and a .22 pistol for the wife. There'll be more in my possession in the next few years.

  My dad, stepdad, three of my brothers and my sister all have guns. I do not have one, but would like to in the future. My mom is considering buying me one as a Christmas present.
