Yeah, but twice was free. I liked it enough to still go though. I thought the concept was amazing, and the acting was top of the line. Leo wasnt even the best on the screen. The only part I didnt like was not making it clear what happens in certain parts, but each time I watch I pick up a little bit more.

I wasn't a fan of either. I didn't think they sucked, just meh average films IMO. Shutter Island was a HUUUGE let down for me, with Scorsese it could/should have been amazing but ended up being a very average film. I looked at watch twice while watching and have zero desire to see it again. Revolutionary Road was his last really good film and that was over 5 years ago. Catch Me if You Can, Departed, and Gangs of New York were incredible great films. All of his other films are just average to good IMO.

I have high hopes for Great Gatsby though, I think it will be great.

Looking forward to Gangster Squad in the fall. Saw the trailer before Dark Shadows and looks pretty good. It's got Gossling, Brolin, Penn, Emma Stone, Nick Nolte, and Giovani Ribisi.

My good friend worked on that movie in post. Its his biggest movie so far, but he also got to work on X-Men Origins which I thought was good.

Went to school with him at MV from 2nd grade through graduation. Im pumped for it as well. He also interned at BCSN back in HS. But I doubt you would remember/ever have known him.

What did your friend do for X-Men?

Worked in post, which is what he does for most of the movies thus far. Helped with some of the effects and effect noises. I THINK he was promoted because of that work to a higher position for Gangster Squad. Last he told me he was going to be doing a lot of the editing. What he wants (other than to be a producer/director) is to eventually be the guy who is in charge of editing and makes the decisions on which angle and cut to use etc. But right now he will just be the guy executing those orders lol.

Also had to digitally touch up Helen Hunt in EVERY frame for the movie Soul Surfer. Thats how ugly that chick has become. It was in her contract lol.

What does that even mean lol?

Typically, you have 24 frames per second. Thats standard for most cameras right now. Basically, what was recorded with Helen Hunt had to be digitally enhanced (skin wise) on her face for every frame she was shown in, in the movie. Kind of like a photoshop for a movie. Most actors and actresses dont need this after make-up before shooting. But Helen Hunt still did, lol.

Laley, you get reps for that lol....

I knew she looked "good" in that movie

More than likely not unless he has been here in the last 6 years. Some of the guys I work with might know him.
