He should have left that world alone because he's not going to do those movie any kind of justice with this one. The preview looked bad.
Yes LOTR was one of the better trilogies, but I do have to agree... The Hobbit looks nothing like LOTR... and from what I understand, the book (The Hobbit) is nothing like LOTR.

I had a high interest in the LOTR movies, but I really have no desire to see The Hobbit.

Piranha 3D was AWESOME! Yeah it was a terrible movie, but you know that going into it. So if you are looking for a "funny" scary movie, that has a lot of boobies, this is the right movie for you. I loved Piranha 3D (it was a lot like Snakes on a Plane) and I am eagerly anticipating Piranha 3DD.

No, I just don't have a stick up my ass.

This is true, but the most SB and Marty look for in a movie is for it to pass the time. t Those two will watch any visual garbage on screen and say it was awesome. They seriously have no standard at all.

You and Marty would go watch The Room and make a thread about how it was a great movie. Nuff said.

And even if I did say that (which I really don't think I did)... let me make myself clear... that obviously was a joke. I've never even seen Kangaroo Jack, but I know it looked god awful.

    Ok Twilight

You like god awful movies, so you'd like it. Not surprised this went over your head.

And it appears to be receiving some "Fresh" reviews on Rotten Tomato (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_cabin_in_the_woods/). Does anyone know... is there like some big twist or something?
I think it's getting such good reviews because it's different. I liked it but I never thought it would get such good reviews.

No one ever said Twilight was an academy award winner. Just said it's entertaining. So sue me for being entertained; almost as easily entertained by your shortcomings.

No I don't. You're just a prude about entertainment and movies. Not my fault you can't find entertainment.

"I like twilight, but i don't like god awful movies" - You're a walking contradiction

There will be a Dark Night Rises trailer in the May 4 release of The Avengers.

I'll be seeing it. Looking forward to the trailer, as well.
  • hoops23
The Avengers currently sitting at 97% on RT with close to 40 reviews in. The ones I've skimmed through stress how well the movie was pulled off for having so much going on.

I literally can't wait for the new Avengers movie. It's setup to be amazing... it looks amazing... and by all accounts it is getting great reviews already. Should be a HUGE blockbuster.

Was really bored yesterday, so I watched 5 yr engagement and the raven.

5 yr engagement was terribly boring....hated it. Surprising since it has decent reviews.

The raven was ok, nothing special.

The topic of 5 yr is interesting to me, they did a nice review on it on NPR which has me SLIGHTLY interested. Raven on the other hand.....

I thought it was more of a drama than a comedy.....like a less funny version of knocked up.

The raven wasn't great, coming off the first flick.....it seemed entertaining.

Other than "I love you man", this was probably the first role that I didn't like Jason segel

I think I will check out The Raven tomorrow. I generally like John Cusack. I wanted to give 5 Year Engagement a try but may pass now that Wes said it's boring.
