    Like the Black Keys.......only better
I think they sound more like early 70's Pink Floyd with a late 90's heavy lead riff.

While most of Jay-Z's raps are simply him reading from Notorious B.I.G.'s sheet music, this is awesome. While not my favorite rapper, I do enjoy his smooth delivery. Still one of the best in the game.

Yeah, he's one of the few who, while lyrically pretty shallow, I like listening to him for his delivery and rhythm.

However, at the end of the day, give me DJ Deckstream, Illogic, Aesop Rock, Nujabes, Mos Def/Yasiin Bey, Talib Kweli, etc. Lyrics are strong and remind me of back in the '80s and '90s when there was depth in lyrics. They covered more than the Five Bs of hip-hop: Booze, blunts, bitches, Bentleys, and Benjamins.

Talib Kweli is excellent. A unique talent unlike pretty much anything else out there. Along those same lines, Yelawolf and Kid Cudi are among my favorite current artists. Each is a strong lyrical rapper, and Cudi's beats are otherwordly. He's just an awesome talent.

And while I do enjoy a few newer artists -- Wiz Khalifa, A.S.A.P Rocky, B.O.B., Future, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chains, Rick Ross, Tyga and A.S.A.P. Ferg, even if he is pretty shallow -- I am first and foremost an admirer of old school rap. True MCs like Biggie, Tupac, AZ, Eazy E, Big Pun, Rappin-4-Tay, Eminem, Kool G Rap, Too $hort are what rap was intended to be.

And my two favorite groups of all-time. Been listening to the first track like crazy. BTNH is back.

Late Night Tip features one of the greatest samples ever. Nobody ever sampled or produced the hell out of tracks like early-'90s Triple Six Mafia. Unbeatable.
