CBS's use of "Length of the court" camera angles....

ou1980Something I have noticed tonight while watching the broadcasts is CBS's use of length of the court camera angles which have been used frequently throughout the night in all the games. Not just for a few seconds but for several processions in a row.....Personally I think its annoying, and doesn't bring the action in HD like the other 720p cameras they are using....Thought?

CinciX12Thats the view from every student section. So I really like it. It is what is familiar to me.

Not true...look at Duke, Oregon State, Utah State, Ohio, etc. They are primarily on the sideline, except Ohio who has its students completely on one sideline.CinciX12 wrote: Thats the view from every student section. So I really like it. It is what is familiar to me.
But back on topic, I like the camera...it gives an interesting view of the game that you don't see in your standard pressbox camera angle. -
CinciX12True, I didn't think of those before I posted. I was just thinking of OSU and X primarily haha, not sure why I said that.

Laley23I hate the view for meaningful game action. I like to see that angle on replays or for a few seconds before the offensive set starts to get going. I just have NO CLUE what to focus on off the ball to watch the game on that view. Gives little depth perception for the viewers.

just_a_swimmerI hated it.

krambmanI HATE when they use the above-the-rim cam for live shots. It's fine for replays, but for live action they should only be using the regular mid-court camera view.

burt07I kind of liked it now and then for a change. They didn't seem to use it that often during key points in the game, it seemed like it was usually early in the 1st half or early in the 2nd.
