I like WVU and UK but with my DISH I have local stations out of Huntington WV and so far they have shown 99% of each of UK and wVU games.....evn though the other games are tight or in the final minute. I HATE that!

UK was up 30+ during both gamees and they would not switch over until UK reached 100 in the first game and not until the final buzzer in game #2...all while 3 games were within 2:00 remaining and even OU (30 miles from me) was SHOCKING Georgetown......WVU was on the enite 40 minutes today as well.

So in other words I'm only going to get to see about the 1st 8 game minutes of Syracuse/Butler and Xavier/KSU....SUCKS

I don't suppose NW Ohio would get Purdue over Michigan State?

Definitely a stupid question, but this fan is opportunistic when it comes to wanting to watch his team from the safe bowels of his home. I hate watching Duke in sports bars. It's never a good atmosphere when Duke's down. Everyone and their mother hates Duke in this area. It's frickin' sickening. And I don't take Duke losses in March well. I can't eat, drink, sleep, hold anything after one.

But I will probably be heading somewhere since Maryland got robbed on a last second three.

Everyone hates Duke in "your area" ? No, everyone hates Duke everywhere outside of Durham and alumni. FYI. One of the best College coaches of all time. Amazinlgy Coach K has had (ONE) guy that went on to the NBA to win an NBA Title!! Danny Ferry, as a reserve in San Antonio.
  • reclegend22
    WGAF.

I'll let you decipher what that means.
  • september63
You said everyone hates Duke. I agreed. Just added the Dukies failures in the NBA as an FYI!! Which I said initially. FYI................

NOOOOOOO, I will be in the Detroit airport chaperoning a bunch of kids during the OSU game.

wonder which game will be on in cincy, X or UK? There are way more Kentucky fans but it is Cincinnati.
  • reclegend22
^^That's an interesting question. I've heard others here say that local Cincy cable has been showing multiple NCAA games on different channels, so I imagine, if this is true, that most will have an option. Could be wrong, though.
  • Terry_Tate
There's no doubt Xavier will be on in Cincinnati. I don't know about the multiple NCAA games on different channels, but I have 100% confidence Xavier will be on Channel 12.
  • CinciX12
I think that in Cincinnati Channel 12 has been showing games as well as the CW. Not 100% sure though.

Interesting that there is a Syracuse region and then Syracuse is playing at the same time in Salt Lake City.

Obviously if you're a big time Syracuse fan you'll rather watch your team but that would take away from some of the general attendance I would imagine.

thats why they sell the tix so far in advance probably.

Yeah you wouldn't know the schedule until now.

I'm sure a lot of moderate to serious basketball fans in that area, many of them Syracuse fans, purchased tickets to the regional ahead of time with it being played nearby.

You could still go, I guess, and watch it in the concourse.
  • CinciX12
At the regional semi's and final level I still might go to the games and just watch Syracuse on DVR later. If you already paid for the tickets you would be giving up seeing some GREAT basketball. Why not be greedy and watch both?

Can't wait. One of the more overall interesting Sweet 16's in recent memory.

    Pulling hard for OSU.

Also hoping the Heels can win the NIT :)

    10 o'clock tipoffs are stupid.

I'm just happy that the Bucks and the Kentucky Wildcats are still in and they are my final game. Do I think it will happen? Probably not, but until it's impossible, it's possible.
  • trackandccrunner
Other than the Duke game I'm looking forward to the UK/Cornell game. I have Cornell winning it and I feel they have a good chance at doind just that. Also it would be cool to see UNI get another win.

Rec where do you live? I live around Findlay and I agree going out to a bar is never good when Duke is losing

    track:

About 8 miles south of BG actually.

Most years, I am down at the Boy's State Tournament during Duke's NCAA games, and that is pure hell in the Columbus area. I can't tell you how many times I've watched Duke (specifically LSU '06 or Indiana '02) in an Applebee's or Max & Erma's or even worse, in the Schott's Hunnington Level, wearing Duke gear around a million Buckeye/Duke detesters during one of our losses. Every time I want to start unloading haymakers. I've told the story here before, but the ending to the Indiana game got me ejected from the arena after I busted a bar stool in half in the Hunnington Level when a sea of Hoosier Red let me have it after Williams missed the final free throw of his career.

They saw that I was the only Duke fan there (and, of course, the friend I was with was not) and decided to let me know about it. I was so f'ing pissed.

    I'm staying home.

You are a menace to society. If you get that upset about a basketball game, how do you react when something really bad happens. Perhaps, you should utilize the expertise of a competent anger management counselor.

Serioiusly, as Prescott said...you have some serious issues. On top of that, do you expect anything different then walking into an OSU place/area with your Duke stuff on? At least have a clue whats your info when you wear and act like that in the Columbus area. Wow....just wow.
  • reclegend22
Did I say I was shocked that Columbus is a non-Duke favoring city? I've been attending the Boy's State Tournament since the mid '90s, I have had family that have played hoops for the Buckeyes, etc. So yeah, I have a clue about the"info" or whatever that means.

Menace to society? That's hysterical. I tipped over a bar stool and it broke. I didn't hammer throw it against the wall lol. That was almost a decade ago, and I was like a junior in high school at the time. I think I'm allowed a pass. Are you telling me you've never been angered by sports? I've broken surround sound speakers from chucking books like frisbees on bad calls. Would I do that now? Probably not, and I definitely wouldn't get myself escorted out of a high school basketball game at the Schott anymore. But it's funny to look back on.

    Lighten up.
  • CinciX12
I would have thrown that f'ing bar stool at the tv. 2 birds with one stone.
