That's where I think you are wrong, and exactly why Turner will win it.krambman wrote: And the award isn't for the most valuable player, it's for the best player.
I think Wall is more talented, but Turner means more to his team which is why he wins it. -

Wall very well may be more talented... why the NBA is so high on him. But Turner was the better player this season. -
Scarlet_FeverCollins in on the list for never jumping to the NBA. It's not like either Collins or Scheyer or Valquez are going to win it. So they add Collins for sticking around. (Just my opinion)

Sort of a thanks for staying and keeping another big name in college basketball. I get it. Its not like he has bad numbers either.Scarlet_Fever wrote: Collins in on the list for never jumping to the NBA. It's not like either Collins or Scheyer or Valquez are going to win it. The Naismith Award is given to "to the top men’s...college basketball players in the nation."thedynasty1998 wrote:

Top does not mean "most valuable." If it did, Tyler Hansbrough would have 2 of these. -

A la Tim Tebow and the Heisman this past year. He had NO business being invited.Scarlet_Fever wrote: Collins in on the list for never jumping to the NBA. It's not like either Collins or Scheyer or Valquez are going to win it. So they add Collins for sticking around. (Just my opinion) -
centralbucksfanI have NO problem with Collins being on this list. A senior who directed his team to a very good season. I believe he falls into a group of players, like Wall, Vasquez, and Scheyer, to name a few...who all fall underneath Turner.
