NCAA Tournament - Second Round Game Thread

SQ_CraziesFarokhmanesh has clearly modeled his game after Steve Nash.
-
karen lotzIf Kansas gets knocked out I will start driving the Baylor bandwagon. If they can win the whole thing, it won't matter what happens in the rest of the tourney as everyone else has Nova or Duke in FF.

vball10setit ain't gonna' last,but it's fuckin' sweet right now

NonO'Rear is an animal

Nonwait until you see all the help-out calls for Kansas in the second half
Aldridge might as well hit guys with chairs lol -
osu45804What a half for Northern Iowa up 36-28 at the half over #1 Kansas
-
SQ_CraziesKansas is almost 60 points under their season average--clearly taken out of their game right now. Setting up for the upset...
-
reclegend22Kansas getting all they want.
Will be very interesting to see how the first five minutes of the second half play out. It will be then that we find out whether or not Kansas fans should get on their knees and hope to God. -

se-alumfjaljasfajlkfajalkj is a hell of a player for UNI!

killer_ewokVery impressive 1st half by No. Iowa. The first 5 minutes of the 2nd half will be key IMO. Can they handle/respond to a Kansas run early in the 2nd half? We're gonna find out.

Duke fans have been doing this before tournament games start in recent years! -

It's just me, but I guess I'd rather be in the Tournament and on the floor praying than not. -
Cleveland BuckI should have been paying attention to the Washington/New Mexico game. I knew coming in the New Mexico was overrated and that Washington was a decent team (I actually had them in as the final at-large right before they won the Pac-10.) New Mexico could be in trouble today.

mattinctownSo if N. Iowa wins, Ohio State goes from one of the hardest brackets in history to something very manageable, interesting. Will someone start a thread talking about how OSU got the road paved for them????

Hey, at least we haven't disappointed our fans by not meeting expectations for 10 years. I remember 2002 when AJ Moye blocked Boozer and started a trend. Even I didn't think it would last this long...reclegend22 wrote:

Cleveland BuckPotentially facing team that knocked out the best team in the country is more manageable? And when they paved the road, was it paved without Georgetown, Oklahoma State, and Kansas, or with them?

If OSU has an easy path and makes it to the Final Four, I'll HAPPILY admit they got a ton of breaks to get there.
Doesn't change the fact that they still have to win the games in front of them. -

Yes because a large percentage of upsets happen just because it was one of those kind of nights--not because they were really the better team overall, just that night. Which is why nearly all teams that pull a big upset get beat in the next round. Of course there are exceptions.Cleveland Buck wrote: Potentially facing team that knocked out the best team in the country is more manageable? There are a lot of things that the IU program has disappointed its fans with, but I won't go there.SQCrazies wrote:Hey, at least we haven't disappointed our fans by not meeting expectations for 10 years. Also, in case you forgot, Duke was back in the Final Four two years after losing to Indiana in '02. And are back as a No. 1 seed in the Dance. I'll take our current position in the basketball universe, thank you.
As for today's game...
Is this Kentucky-UAB all over again?
Never would have expected this to last this long. Could be an excellent finish.
