WVU FANS: What are your thoughts on the East Region bracket?

  • redbluegold
    WVU Fans,

First, I'm excited to be a #2 seed! (Although IMO we should have been a #1)
I like our chances in this bracket. I believe the BIG EAST conference has prepared us for any team in the country. We have seen quickness, great guards, size, physical play etc. Many people are upset we are in the region with Kentucky. I'm not. The SEC doesn't have teams who play tough man to man defense like WVU. Kentucky has limped by some teams because of their youth. Wall, Patterson, (WV native) and Cousins are great players but I feel the pressure will get to them in this tourney. This would be a great match-up in Syracuse. Remember this is Big East territory. I know the UK faithful travel well but there will be many WVU fans plus Big East supports rooting us on! I like the bracket! Both teams need to get there! I like our chances! Thoughts from other WVU faithful? UK fans too! Play nice.........:P[/b]

It's West Virginia! They always find a place to choke.

By your comment, I don't know if you are a Mountaineer or not. I agree with you. They have yanked our hearts out many times. Example: being up 20+ against Louisville in Elite 8 game, Texas sweet sixteen. This team seems different. More toughness and they never give up. I hope your wrong this time!

They don't shoot well. Also, if the officials call a tight game, they won't have enough players on he bench to finish the game.

Good point. I thought the Big East officials called it much closer this season, unlike in the past. I still think we can can get hot shooting the ball. Let's admit something. If they can get the offense grooving, they could be mighty tough to beat.

If you are referring to Huggins you would be correct. If you are referring to WVU then you are completely off base.

I'm not upset with the bracket. I would have like the #1 seed, but I like playing so close to home. Buffalo and Syracuse are both short drives so we should pack the arenas.

Besides UK, I think it is an overall favorable bracket. WVU has the ability to beat every team so they have a great chance to make a deep run.

    Eers&Beers,

I'm still not certain Grizzly's a WVU gu?. I love having Huggs as the coach. We are lucky to have him home again. Seems we are falling in LOVE with the 1-3-1. I hated it when he stayed in it against Notre Dame and Georgetown. They almost always give up that big three point shot! New tourney teams will have to grind it out with us. Not sure many can. I'm like Jim B. @ Syracuse. Time to play someone who doesn't know how we play!

Does anyone know if the WVU game will be shown on Cleveland WOIO. Every regional map I have located doesn't show "Friday Window 1" Can anyone shed some light on this subject? or website or something?
