Projected Round #1 Draft Picks in the Midwest

  • Prescott
This is a star studded regional with some players who are likely to be #1 draft picks in the NBA. The list includes:Evan Turner, Cole Aldrich, Derrick Favors, Greg Monroe,Xavier Henry,James Anderson, Kalin Lucas,Sherron Collins, and Gani Lawal.

That would make a nice college all star team.

    Throw in Vasquez IMO.
  • SportsAndLady
I'm sure you could make a list just as good as that for other regions, but the Midwest is pretty loaded this year with good teams and players.
  • Prescott
Vasquez is likely a 2nd round guy.

Put up another region and I'll do the next.We would find out.

    William Buford?
  • wildcats20
In the same boat as Vasquez, 2nd round guy.

You're right Prescot about Vasquez, maybe somebody would take a chance on him though.
  • Laley23
Willy Buford is a first round pick. Just maybe not this year.

You could probably add Delvon Roe as well.

Not anymore. His NBA chances flew out the window when he tore his ACL in HS. Its getting worse.

    Ehh, true. Good point.

John Wall (lottery), DeMarcus Cousins (lottery), Patrick Patterson (lottery), Eric Bledsoe (is this a stretch, a year or two down the road?), Al-Farouq Aminu (lottery), Damion James, Avery Bradley, Lazar Hayward, Quincy Poindexter, Trevor Booker, Kim English (6'6 guard, maybe a year or two down the road), Da'Sean Butler, Devin Ebanks, Anthony Johnson 6'3 guard from Montana (MAJOR stretch, but i've seen mock drafts with him in the 2nd round..which i realize isn't what this thread is about, but he could improve his stock with a good showing in the tourney), Darington Hobson (6'6 guard, 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists a game..only a junior)

I donno, i'm not too knowledgeable with nba draft prospects...it seems as though they pick more based on potential, more than their play in college...so if there's a guy on here that shouldn't be, i wouldn't be surprised..and if there's a guy not on here cuz he wasn't really that great in college but has serious potential, i also wouldn't be surprised.

But you are right, the midwest region is definitely the best...The East region, however, is definitely up there.
