Delvon Roe to Have Knee Surgery

  • Prescott
You've got to feel for Delvon Roe.

The Michigan State sophomore big man continues to be a shell of his former self.

A few years back, prior to a microfracture surgery on his knee that ended his senior season in high school almost as quickly as it began, Roe was a freak athlete who would dominate games due to his skill, explosiveness and relentless work ethic.

But it's been one knee issue after another.

Following a frustrating freshman campaign in which the 6-foot-8, 230-pounder was just trying to work his way back towards 100 percent, Roe was told to shut it down for a month in the offseason in hopes of getting healthy for this season.

"They told me not to do anything and then to take it easy when I did come back," Roe said.

But Roe was hoping that this year he'd be 100 percent again.

    It hasn't happened.

Roe's right knee has been bothering him virtually all season, and he said he'll have surgery after the season ends that will put him on the shelf for another 3-4 weeks......

......Chris Allen will be reinstated for the NCAA tournament......
