2010 DB Josh Shaw Commits to the Gators :(
-
OneBuckeyeWill announce at 1 PM EST time today. He is down to USC, Florida, OSU and LSU.
OSU was said to be the leader at one time... but not anymore.
I think he goes to USC. -
QuintFlorida. . . he's visited there twice on his own dime. . . and after his last visit, he said he would be announcing in a week.
-
OneBuckeyeYou are probably right... I can't find anything on his commitment yet.

It is for the Gators. The rich get richer. Interesting that they beat out USC for a CA kid. -
SpeedofsandHe is a Gator.
Ronald Powell will be too.
ESPN's Billy Tucker elaborated on Shaw's decision, "Florida continues to stock its already top ranked 2010 recruiting class and show its national recruiting presence. Shaw joins arguably the most impressive defensive backfield class in the country with the likes of Jonathan Dowling (Bradenton, Fla./Southeast), Demar Dorsey (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Boyd Anderson), Jaylen Watkins (Fort Myers, Fla./Cape Coral) and Matt Elam (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Dwyer) all committed to play for Urban Meyers and the Gators. The group of highly-regarded DB's collectively has a great blend of size, speed and athleticism. Shaw only adds to that collection of talent and may boast the best ball skills out of the unit." -
vball10setit'll also be interesting to see if he gets through the clearinghouse
-
QuintIs a power shift starting? Morrell Presley decommitting from Pete Carroll to go to UCLA and Vontaze Burfict decommitting to go to ASU last year. Everyone thought Manti Teo was a guarantee get for Carroll. . . he goes to Notre Dame. And now Meyer steals the best cb out of Carroll's own back yard. . . intriguing trend to say the least.
-
OneBuckeye^ I think so.
-
devil1197Not a huge loss for OSU. Their DB class from last season has some guys ready to step in next season and Chekwa/Torrence will be back along with Hines.
-
vball10setLOL--after last Saturday,I don't know if Chekwa returning is such a positive
-
devil1197
Eh, guys have bad games. Chekwa has been solid all year long outside of last week.Vball10set wrote: LOL--after last Saturday,I don't know if Chekwa returning is such a positive  -
OneBuckeyeThere are still big targets out there
Bryant
Anderson
Joyner
Bryant and Anderson are rumored to be silent commits, and we have a good shot at Joyner still. -
devil1197I thought we were very high on Joyner's list?
I haven't been following the recruiting class close this year, but do we have any stud DL guys coming in? With the possibility of Heyward and Gibson leaving along with the SR's, we may be a little thin up front. -
OneBuckeyeWe are high on Joyners list, but it still have lots of big players on it. Sharriff Floyd and Jon Hantkins (sp?) are 2 DTs we have a very good shot at, but both of them have grade issues that have to overcome.
-
QuintHas anyone heard anything about Cullen Christian? 4* DB out of Pennsylvania.
-
speedrush1189
Not going to OSU. Rumored to be a scUM lockQuint wrote: Has anyone heard anything about Cullen Christian? 4* DB out of Pennsylvania. -
stroupsYou win some you lose some............ all I really care about is 6star(Joyner)
-
OneBuckeyeNot going to tOSU... not sure why but I think OSU is off the radar. OSU and Pitt canceled visits he had with the schools. I think they both wanted to postpone the visits... not sure why. Anyway that didn't make him happy at OSU... He was supposed to visit Pitt and ND game not sure if he did. UM apparently is high on his list. Not sure if we will get him in for a visit or not.
-
QuintLanding Joyner would be huge!!! I think Anderson and Bryant are locks. . . throw in Joyner, and that is a stellar DB class.
-
devil1197Joyner is crazy good.
-
TinkertrainOhio State cancelled Christian's visit and asked him to back off his decision date. Cullen was not happy at all about this and has essentially eliminated Ohio State from consideration. When it's all said and done Cullen Christian will be going to Michigan.
This is going to be a recruitment that comes back to bite ohio state in the ass much like Devin Gardner's will. -
devil1197Yes, because Pryor is looking like he will stay all 4 years and then a fellow by the name Miller will fill in nicely imo.
Gardner's decision will not come back to bite OSU. He wouldn't even see the field at QB until Pryor graduated. -
TinkertrainYour ASSuming that Miller will pan out for the buckeye's and the fact that they've pretty much gotten clipboard holders in guiton and graham in the last two classes makes osu very vunerable at qb. Nevermind that you essentially helped drive the prototype qb for rich rod's offense into his arm's.

devil1197
Ok I'll assume that Miller pans out while you ASSume Gardner will pan out. And with how Forcier and Robinson have looked against good defenses, I'd say UM is pretty damn vulnerable at QB along with basically every other position.Tinkertrain wrote: Your ASSuming that Miller will pan out for the buckeye's and the fact that they've pretty much gotten clipboard holders in guiton and graham in the last two classes makes osu very vunerable at qb. I bet you also posted wonderful comments on the Forcier thread when he looked like the next coming lol. How is he turning out? -
dat dude
Do you realize how hypocritical you sound?Tinkertrain wrote: Your ASSuming that Miller will pan out for the buckeye's and the fact that they've pretty much gotten clipboard holders in guiton and graham in the last two classes makes osu very vunerable at qb.
