Arkansas at (20) Louisville
-
Azubuike24Game will be played in St. Louis, Missouri tomorrow night at 7:30.
A battle of schools who had a lot of negative press in the off-season.
Louisville takes the court for the first time since the Rick Pitino sex scandal and they look to replace some very key players from a year ago.
Arkansas is still without starters Courtney Fortson, Stefan Welsh and Marcus Britt, along with quality Freshman Glenn Bryant.
Still, it's a pretty quality OOC match-up early on. I'll predict Louisville by 9. -

Azubuike24I actually wondered where everyone went. Four days of college basketball action and almost nothing as far as posts go. Glad I found it, hopefully we can keep bring people over. Here is a link to the Arkansas suspensions.

Unfortunately, the two most significant players, Fortson and Welsh are serving the most serious suspensions. I frequent an Arkansas board called "Hogville" just to keep up to date with their daily happenings since they happen to care about basketball almost as much as UK fans and many of them could see these guys missing a LONG time, if not the entire season.
They came into the year with expectations to possibly make an NCAA run, but it won't happen without these guys. They are also missing their starting PF Michael Sanchez who is out until mid-season with an injury. So basically, 4 of their top 8 players are out, which is really bad for a team who is on the fence anyway. -

Haha, I was actually at the Blue Jackets game but I was following it the entire time on my phone. I was definitely a little nervous. Then again, as a casual Miami supporter (lots of family went there, know a lot of people within the athletic department), I won't ever doubt a Charlie Coles coached team. He has given UK problems in the past with vastly inferior teams.ironman02 wrote: Welcome to the real huddle, Azu. I bet you were sweatin bullets tonight, weren't you? -
Laley23Az, I actually thought of paying for the huddle SIMPLY for the college bball forum. Then I found this the day it all went south over there.
I hope we can bring over everyone. Ok, maybe not Sparty and Paladin....or both. I could deal with one or the other. But not both! -
wildcats20Wow, no good for the Arkansas program. Losing Fortson is going to hurt big time, if the suspension lasts any amount of time.

Azubuike24Sparty is fine if Paladin isn't around. Paladin is a waste regardless of who else is around. There are definitely some people I won't mind not having around. My biggest hope is we can just talk college basketball in general and not get bombarded with the same topics day after day and the same old arguments that get really old by mid-season.
I can get fans from a lot of different boards who just want a general place to talk college basketball, but not if some of the same crap that happened over there comes here as well.
But hey, at least this place is on Facebook too -
Laley23^^Pretty much my thoughts as well.
