Eight coaches have advanced in The Inside Handshake's "
What College Basketball Coach Would Win a No-Holds-Barred Alley Fight?" Here's how the last round went down:
Pitt's Jamie Dixon routed Jim Boeheim of Syracuse, landing 80% of the blows in an easy win.
After a close early battle, Wisconsin's Bo Ryan finished off Tennessee's Bruce Pearl as a disconsolate Pat Summitt looked on.
Gary Williams of Maryland had an easy time with Rick Barnes of Texas, landing 80% of all punches thrown.
In the most vicious beatdown of the day, West Virginia's Bob Huggins destroyed Bruce Weber of Illinois. Weber didn't land a shot in a 1st Round TKO.
In another one-sided fight, fiesty Tom Izzo of Michigan State handled Tom Crean with ease by landing 76% of his punches.
In a bit of an upset, Purdue's Matt Painter whipped Villanova's Jay Wright. The judges had it 53-47 for Painter.
In still another mismatch, Kansas State's Frank Martin throttled Florida's Billy Donovan rather easily.
Finally, in the closest matchup of the day, UCLA's Ben Howland edged Okie State's Jeff Capel 51-49.
That leaves representation from each league looking like this for the Elite 8:
Big 10 - 3 (Ryan, Izzo, Painter)
Big East -2 (Huggins, Dixon)
ACC - 1 (Williams)
Pac 10 - 1 (Howland)
Big 12 - 1 (Martin)
