CinciX12Well that proves one thing. The 'media' doesn't watch many of the actual games.

Prescott
You have issues with the bracket??The 'media' doesn't watch many of the actual games. -
gyea36I would like Kent State's chances to make an upset run in that scenario...but they have to win the MAC tourney to even get in, and that is always tough.

Azubuike24This article is also 9 days old. Just a note. He does make some good points. I'm not sold on Wisconsin or Tennessee making the Elite 8 however.
-
georgemc80That would be an interesting South Regional...I have tickets again...last time I barely got face value for them.

reclegend22Of course he has Duke out in the second round. Until Duke gets out of the Sweet 16 again, no matter whether Duke is a solid team that season or not, each year Duke will be the "upset special" everyone is so proud of themselves for picking. That's the easy pick to make based on past events and because, in general, people hate Duke. (Yes, I realize Davis graduated in Durham.) So people are enamored with it and readers want to hear it. But he, along with the scores of others who will pencil Duke out after the first weekend -- is obviously failing to recognizing Duke's transformation this season in the frontcourt. In all honesty, he probably hasn't paid enough attention to Duke, especially with how hectic and busy his everyday life is on the road in college basketball.
The Blue Devils are a tremendous rebounding team that earns a high percentage of its points off of second chance opportunities. With the dangerous offensive weapons Duke has in its big three, Scheyer, Singler and Smith, and other complimentary players, that's the pedigree of a team that can go a long way in March. We already know the Devils can get down and defend.
This is not the year to pick Duke to be upset in the first or second round. Baylor may be just as long as Duke, but no one will convince me that they have superior basketball athletes. Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith, Mason Plumlee, Lance Thomas, Miles Plumlee, Ryan Kelly, Andre Dawkins .. Duke has athletes. -
Hb31187Singler doesnt make you go...wow hes athletic...Good basketball player?Yes, Very athletic? No
-
reclegend22He's athletic. Never said he was "very" or "extremely" athletic. But he is athletic.
-
Hb31187Eh, I dont think hes too athletic. In comparison to other players at his position
-
namod65Singler can be classified as "athletic" to an extent because he does play college basketball. But yeah, when compared to the other good players at his position like say Evan Turner, it's not even close who the better athlete is.
-
Azubuike24I wouldn't say Singler is athletic, at leas that wouldn't be the word first used to describe him, but his athleticism is overrated and when he's at his best, he's a mismatch. Whether Duke is athletic enough everywhere else to cut down the nets remains to be seen, and most would say they aren't. However, that doesn't have much to do with Kyle Singler.
