No surprises. Feel bad for Cincinnati but I'm not sure what they can do...Texas isn't losing and Bama/FLA will be their opponent.

Looks good to me. No surprises there.

Interesting, the Stanford-Cal game will be between two top 25 teams.
I also expect Oregon to eventually leap OSU, but it doesn't matter.

There is an outside chance that UC could make it to the BCS Title game over Texas. For that to happen though Rutgers, USF, Oregon State and Fresno State would have to win out Pitt would have to beat WVU. It's not going to happen though. Most likely if UC wins out they finish 4th in the BCS standings.

5th. alabama/florida loser is not gonna drop far. winner will play texas and tcu, boise, and uc wont get there chance.
  • maddmind
    how is usc 18th???

last week they were 9th i think and they had lost to #13 oregon and unranked washington....they get a lot of love.
  • maddmind
and why didnt osu jump lsu like they did in the AP?
lsu struggled and looked poor against louisiana tech.

If UC wins out, there is a good chance that finish 3rd. They would most likely jump TCU and finish behind Bama/UF winner and Texas.

It's irrelevant. OSU is going to the Rose Bowl, none of these rankings matter to OSU now.

And LSU is not going to a BCS game. They are Capital One or Outback Bowling.

It think that depends largely on the manner in which the Florida Alabama game is played. If it is a well played, close, tightly contested ball game that ends up with a 24-21 or 17-14 final score the human voters won't drop the loser of that game too much. I think that is the most likely outcome of that game because both defenses are overwhelming and neither offense can do much but run into the teeth of those overwhelming defenses.

LSU may have struggled, but OSU didn't look the greatest either. Fine with the rankings. Still, there needs to be a play-off!

While true, LSU played LA Tech and OSU played a top ten ranked Iowa team. That's gotta count for something.

LSU made Boise States struggle's in Ruston look a whole lot more justified with that performance.

LSU had Jarett Lee as QB...................that explains the struggle. 7-22 passing because J. Jefferson is hurt. And there RB broke his collar bone against Alabama.

I understand it really doesn't matter but how does Pittsburgh jump OSU by beating ND who wasn't even ranked? Now that makes no sense. Makes the polls meaningless in my opinion.
