devil1197I lol'ed at Pitt jumping OSU after beating a bad ND team when OSU beat a 1 loss Top 10 team.
-
Manhattan BuckeyeSurprise Miami didn't fall more, they looked really unimpressive against UNC. I'd definitely put Rutgers ahead of them after their South Florida blowout.

Cleveland Buck
This is the AP. Pitt was already ahead of OSU last week.devil1197 wrote: I lol'ed at Pitt jumping OSU after beating a bad ND team when OSU beat a 1 loss Top 10 team. -

Makes some sense then. -
wags6817AP doesn't mean anything anyway.

Ask USC fans if it means anything. It means they won a national title in 2003. LOLwags6817 wrote: AP doesn't mean anything anyway. -
ohiotiger33OSU fans would claim nat champ if the same thing happened to them being voted #1 in the AP Poll. So would Clemson. So would anyone.

Swamp FoxWhen you're rated number one, no matter how you got it, you are going to claim it and shout it to the mountain tops. I don't blame them at all. I think, given the records of the teams ahead of the Bucks, the rating seems about right. I do believe that Ohio State is a top ten team, but for now, a lower end top 10 team. With a more consistent offense, I truly believe that the Bucks could play anyone and have a better than average chance to win. The Purdue game killed their chances for the Big Prize this year.

enigmaaxHere's a question for those who completely discount the AP poll. Say Florida or Alabama is upset before the SEC title game, but goes on to win that title game. Then that 1-loss SEC team beats undefeated Texas in the BCS title game, leaving TCU as the only undefeated team in the country. So then say that TCU is voted #1 in the AP poll. Would you recognize that title?
-
wildcats20I would. But it's not THE National Title, it's the AP Title.

sjmvsfscs08^I often wonder if you do.
