BG Men get off to good start!

Swamp FoxThe Falcon Men started the season with a nice win. Wayne State was a good early assessment. 67-45 is an A in my book. Observations?

Dog99My only question is where is the guy who predicted a loss on the other board?
-
Swamp FoxI don't know but I can guarantee you that you aren't talking to him. (If that is what you might be thinking.) I've been a Falcon fan for quite a few years.

reclegend22How did Joe Jack look? Last year, he played an outstanding game when BG traveled down to Ohio State. He definitely has a load of talent.

Swamp FoxThe Falcons were really led by the excellent inside play of Otis Polk and a group of young guys that really hustled and played good defense. This team will be just fine as the kids get varsity experience.
Polk was 7 of 8 from the Field and pretty much controlled the middle for BG. Jakubowski was kind of a non-factor, scoring 4 points and was 0 for 2 from 3 point land. 10 guys scored and it was a good opener in that a lot of guys saw the floor and got some invaluable early season playing time. I think the Falcons will prove a difficult opponent to a lot more teams than was expected. -

Nope didn't think you were him. He was just annoying, starting a thread and making a post about how bad BG was going to be and that they would lose to Wayne State.Dog99 wrote: My only question is where is the guy who predicted a loss on the other board? -

reclegend22I'm going to try and make the FIU game as well. Despite his recent happenings in NYC, I was always an Isiah fan. The Bad Boys were only the players in history who could stop Michael Jordan in his prime. And in 1988, '89 and '90, athletically, Michael was in his prime. He still got his points, but Jordan and his team got their ass busted each time out. Those matchups with Dumars and Thomas and Rodman going one-one-on defensively with Jordan were stretches of the greatest NBA competition ever.
And, as the late Chuck Daly once said, had Isiah been five inches taller, Michael Jordan wouldn't be who he is today. Isiah Thomas would have been the greatest of all-time.
Man I miss the NBA.
